Abstract

Studi ini meneliti tentang kebutuhan industri permainan interaktif dan bagaimana kompetensi keahlian multimedia di SMK dalam mempersiapkan sumber daya manusia (SDM). Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan menyebarkan kuesioner, selanjutnya dilakukan pengolahan data dengan menggunakan analisis faktor konfirmatori. Responden dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling, terdiri dari 35 orang pelaku industri permainan interaktif dan 35 orang guru keahlian multimedia di SMK. Dari hasil analisis data disimpulkan bahwa, kebutuhan SDM pada industri permainan interaktif harus memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang terdiri dari keterampilan teknis dan generik. Kurikulum dan sarana prasarana pada kompetensi keahlian multimedia sudah memadai dalam mempersiapkan SDM, sedangkan guru keahlian multimedia perlu pengembangan diri secara berkelanjutan, baik itu melalui pendidikan dan pelatihan serta mengikuti perkembangan teknologi multimedia khususnya perkembangan permainan interaktif.-- This study examines the need for an interactive gaming industry and how multimedia competence in Vocational High School prepare human resource. Data collection was done by observation and distributing questionnaire, then data processing was done by using confirmatory factor analysis. Respondents were selected by purposive sampling technique, consist of 35 interactive game industrialists and 35 multimedia expertise teachers in Vocational High School. From the result of data analysis, it can be concluded that human resource in interactive gaming industry should posses knowledge and skill which consist of technical and generic. Curriculum and infrastructure in multimedia competence had been adequate in preparing human resource, where as multimedia teachers need to self develop continuously, both through education and training and keeping up with the development of multimedia technology particularly the development in interactive game.
