Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kekhawatiran akan kurangnya pemahaman siswa dalam pembelajaran tematik yang nantinya akan berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini disebabkan guru masih kesulitan dalam mengaitkan antar konsep dalam intra maupun antar pelajaran, sehingga siswa belum mampu melihat keterkaitan antar konsep dan memperoleh insight. Salah satu keberhasilan dalam belajar yaitu penggunaan media pembelajaran. Efeknya guru dituntut untuk kreatif dan berinovasi dalam membuat media. Oleh karena itu, peneliti membuat dan menggunakan media pop-up berbasis tematik untuk membantu guru mengaitkan atau menghubungkan antar konsep mata pelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui terdapat atau tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar siswa antara yang menggunakan media pop-up berbasis tematik dan tanpa menggunakan media pop-up berbasis tematik pada pembelajaran tematik. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen dan subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu terdapat perbedaan rata-rata nilai dari kedua kelas dimana kelas yang menggunakan media pop-up berbasis tematik memperoleh rata-rata peningkatan sebesar 53,85. Sedangkan pada kelas yang tanpa menggunakan media pop-up berbasis tematik sebesar 30,45. Hal ini juga dibuktikan dengan uji hipotesis yang menunjukan nilai t-hitung 4,952 > t-tabel 2,024. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar yang menggunakan media pop-up berbasis tematik dan tanpa media pop-up berbasis tematik.-- This research is in the background by fears of students' lack of understanding in thematic learning which will have an impact on student learning outcomes. This is because teachers still have difficulties in linking between concepts in intra and between lessons, so that students have not been able to see the interrelationship between concepts and gain insight. One of the successes in learning is the use of learning media. The effect is that teachers are required to be creative and innovate in making media. Therefore, researchers create and use thematic-based pop-up media to help teachers associate or connect between subject concepts. The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not there are significant differences in student learning outcomes between those who use thematic-based pop-up media and without thematic-based pop-up media in thematic learning. This research approach uses a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental methods and subjects in this study are fourth grade elementary school students. The results of this study are that there are differences in the average values of the two classes where the class using thematic-based pop-up media obtained an average increase of 53.85. Whereas in the class without using thematic based pop-up media is 30.45. This is also evidenced by testing the hypothesis which shows the value of t-count 4.952> t-table 2.024. From these results it can be concluded that there are significant differences in learning outcomes using thematic-based pop-up media and without thematic-based pop-up media.
