Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya nilai rata-rata ujian tengah semester pada mata pelajaran ekonomi SMA Negeri se-Kabupaten Bandung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran umum emotional quotient dan hasil belajar serta menganalisis pengaruh emotional quotient terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IIS SMA Negeri se-Kabupaten Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey eksplanatori dengan teknik analisis data yaitu regresi linier sederhana. Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IIS SMA Negeri se-Kabupaten Bandung, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 237 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (i) variabel emotional quotient berada pada kategori sedang, adapun hasil belajar berada di bawah standar kriteria ketuntasan minimal; (ii) variabel emotional quotient berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi. Kata Kunci: Emotional Quotient, Hasil Belajar Siswa. This research is motivated by the low average score of mid semester exam on economic subjects of SMA Negeri in Bandung district. This research has purpose to find out general description about emotional quotient and learning result with analyze influence the emotional quotient to learning result of students of grade XI IIS of SMA Negeri in Bandung district. The used method in this study was an explanatory survey with simple linear regression as data analysis techniques. The sample in this study were students of grade XI IIS of SMA Negeri in Bandung district, with the sample of 237 students. The sampling technique in this research used simple random sampling. The results showed that (i) variable of emotional quotient is in medium category, while the learning result are below minimum standards; (ii) variable of emotional quotient has a positive effect to students learning result in economics subject.
