Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi adanya peran teman sebaya terhadap tingkat regulasi diri remaja. Selain itu, regulasi diri merupakan faktor yang penting dalam keterlibatan remaja pada masalah sosial. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi peer attachment dan regulasi diri pada peserta didik Kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 9 Bandung serta menggambarkan secara empirik hubungan antara peer attachment dengan tingkat regulasi diri pada peserta didik Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif melalui metode korelasional. Sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) gambaran umum peer attachment peserta didik Kelas VIII berada pada kategori anxious-ambivalent attachment; (2) gambaran umum regulasi diri peserta didik Kelas VIII berada pada kategori sedang; (3) terdapat hubungan yang positif antara peer attachment dengan regulasi diri peserta didik Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Bandung. Artinya, jika nilai variabel peer attachment meningkat, maka nilai variabel regulasi diri juga meningkat. Rekomendasi diberikan kepada pihak sekolah dan guru bimbingan dan konseling agar mengimplementasikan program bimbingan dan konseling yang telah dirumuskan. Kata kunci: peer attachment, regulasi diri, remaja The research is motivated by the role of peers on the level of self-regulation of adolescents. In addition, self-regulation is an important factor in the involvement of adolescents in social problems. The aims of the study was to identify peer attachment and self-regulation in Class VIII students at SMP Negeri 9 Bandung and to illustrate empirically the relationship between peer attachments and self-regulation levels in Class VIII students at SMPN 9 Bandung Academic Year 2018/2019. The approach used is a quantitative through correlational methods. The research sample was class VIII students of SMPN 9 Bandung Academic Year 2018/2019. Research shows: (1) general description of peer attachment Class VIII students in the anxious-ambivalent attachment category; (2) general description of self-regulation Class VIII students in the moderate category; (3) there is a positive relationship between peer attachment and self-regulation of Class VIII students at SMP Negeri 9 Bandung. That is, if the peer attachment variable value increases, then the value of the variable self-regulation also increases. Recommendations are given to the school and guidance and counseling teachers to implement the personal guidance program that has been formulated. Keywords: Peer Attachment, Self-Regulation, Teenager
