Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji pembelajaran siklus 7E berbantuan hypnoteaching dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah, kemampuan koneksi dan self-efficacy matematis mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen. Desain dalam penelitian ini adalah desain kelompok kontrol pretes-postes. Kelas eksperimen diberi pembelajaran model siklus 7E berbantuan hypnoteaching dan kelas kontrol diberi pembelajaran konvensional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika tahun 2017 yang mendapat mata kuliah Kalkulus Integral di Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri atas soal tes KPPM dan KKM, serta skala SEM. Analisis statistika yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji-t, uji Mann-Whitney dan Anova dua jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah, kemampuan koneksi dan self-efficacy matematis mahasiswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran model siklus 7E berbantuan hypnoteaching lebih baik daripada mahasiswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional; (2) tidak terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara pembelajaran dan kategori pengetahuan awal matematika (PAM) mahasiswa terhadap pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kemampuan koneksi matematis; (3) terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara pembelajaran dan kategori PAM mahasiswa terhadap pencapaian self-efficacy matematis; (4) tidak terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara pembelajaran dan kategori PAM mahasiswa terhadap peningkatan self-efficacy matematis mahasiswa. Kata Kunci: kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, kemampuan koneksi matematis, self-efficacy matematis, pembelajaran siklus 7E berbantuan hypnoteaching. The aim of this research was to find out whether 7E learning cycle under hypnoteaching model can enhance students’ mathematical problem solving, connection, and self-efficacy skills. This research was quasi experimental study. The design of this study was pretest-posttest control group design. There were two groups of sample used in the study. The experimental group was given 7E learning cycle under hypnoteaching model, while the control group was given conventional model. The population of this study was the student of mathematics education program batch 2017 in one university in Tangerang. The instrument used in this research consist of mathematical problem solving skill test, mathematical connection skill test, and Mathematics Self-Efficacy Scale (MSES). The statistical analysis used to test the hypothesis of this study were t-test, Mann-Whitney U test, and two-way ANOVA. The result of this study showed that: (1) The students’ achievement and enhancement of mathematical problem solving, connection, and self-efficacy skills who obtained 7E learning cycle under hypnoteaching model are higher than the students who obtained conventional model; (2) There is no interaction between the student learning and prior knowledge in mathematics (PKM) category on the students’ achievement and enhancement of mathematical problem solving and connection skill; (3) There is an interaction between the student learning and PKM category on the students’ achievement of mathematical problem solving skill; (4) There is no interaction between the student learning and PKM category on the students’ enhancement of mathematical problem solving skill.
