Abstract

Pendidikan mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting dalam keseluruhan aspek kehidupan manusia. Salah satu tugas dari manusia adalah belajar. Dalam proses belajar tentunya dibutuhkan sebuah orientasi. Bahwa belajar adalah suatu proses dalam mencapai tujuan belajar. Kegiatan belajar mengajar baik dan ideal adalah apabila dalam kegiatan belajar tersebut memanfaatkan sumber belajar. Dalam pembelajaran IPS, sumber belajar memiliki peranan yang sangat penting baik yang dilakukan dalam kelas (in door) maupun di luar kelas (out door). Hal tersebut sesuai dengan prinsip pembelajaran IPS yang memiliki objek kajian interaksi antara manusia dan lingkungannya maupun kajian interaksi antara manusia dengan manusia itu sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui karakteristik Museum Geologi sebagai sumber belajar IPS, (2) mengetahui hambatan guru IPS dalam upaya menjadikan museum sebagai sumber belajar, (3) mengetahui pemanfaatan Museum Geologi sebagai sumber belajar pada pembelajaran IPS. Menggunakan metode deskriptif. Informan terdiri dari pengunjung museum, guru, dan pengelola museum. Teknik analisis data menggunakan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) potensi Museum Geologi meliputi objek museum, tersedianya sarana dan prasarana yang dapat menunjang sebagai sumber belajar IPS, (2) faktor penghambat guru IPS untuk menjadikan Museum Geologi sebagai sumber belajar IPS, diantaranya mengenai perizinan, kesiapan guru itu sendiri mengelola rombongan, serta biaya yang dikeluarkan, (3) strategi pemanfaatan dilakukan dengan membawa peserta didik ke Museum dan pemaparan museum didalam kelas saat pembelajaran.---Education has a very important role in the overall aspect of human life. One of the tasks of a human is learning. In the process of learning is certainly needed an orientation. That learning is a process in achieving the learning objectives. Good teaching and learning activities and the ideal is when in the learning activities utilizing learning resources. In learning Social Studies, learning resource, has a very important role of the good that is done in the classroom (in door) and outside of the classroom (out door). It is in accordance with the Social Studies principle of the learning object that has the study of interaction between humans and their environment as well as the study of the interaction between man and man himself. This research aims to (1) find out the characteristics of the geological Museum as learning resources for Social Studies, (2) know the obstacles Social studies teachers in an effort to make the museum as learning resources, (3) knowing the utilization of geological Museum as learning resources the study of Social Studies. Use a descriptive method. Informants consisting of museum visitors, teachers, and the Manager of the museum. Data analysis techniques using triangulation. The results showed that (1) the potential geological Museum includes objects of museum, the availability of facilities and infrastructure support as a learning resource for Social Studies, (2) the factors restricting Social Studies teachers to make geological Museum as learning resources, among them about licensing, the readiness of teachers themselves manage their Entourage, as well as the cost, (3) the strategy of the utilization done by bringing students to the Museum and the exposure of the museum in the classroom learning.
