Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konstruksi tes keterampilan berpikir kritis dan karakteristiknya berdasarkan teori respon butir. Tes disusun berdasarkan konsep dasar suhu dan kalor berupa 8 butir tes uraian open-ended yang mengacu pada 3 dari 6 aspek keterampilan berpikir kritis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode campuran (mixed methods) dengan desain concurrent embedded dengan metode kuantitatif sebagai metode primer. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini didasarkan pada respons 108 siswa yang telah mendapatkan pembelajaran tentang suhu dan kalor kelas X SMA di Tasikmalaya dan Bandung. Hasil analisis dari kurva karakteristik tes menunjukkan bahwa indeks kesukaran (b_jk) terentang antara -1,49 sampai 1,34 dengan indeks kesukaran yang berbeda pada tiap kategorinya. Perpotongan antara total fungsi informasi dan SEM (standard error measurement) berada pada rentang -1,70 sampai 1,20. Hal ini berarti, keseluruhan tes ini dapat digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dari tingkat kemampuan rendah (di bawah rata-rata) sampai kemampuan tinggi (di atas rata-rata).;---The purpose of this study was to find out the construction of critical thinking skills test and its characteristics based on the item response theory. The test was based on the basic concept of temperature and heat consisting of 8 items of open-ended assesment referring to 3 of 6 aspects of critical thinking skills. The research method used mixed methods with concurrent embedded design with quantitative method as primary method. The analysis in this study was based on the responses of 108 students who have received learning about temperature and heat at two schools in Tasikmalaya and Bandung. The analysis result of the characteristic test curve showed that the difficulty index (b_jk) was stretched between -1.49 to 1.34 with different index of difficulty in each category. The intersection between the total information function and SEM (Standard error measurement) was stretched between -1.70 to 1.20. This meant that the entire test can be used to measure student’s critical thinking skills from low-ability (below average) to high-ability (above average) levels.
