Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran berbasis kognitif moral (PBKM) dalam tematik terpadu untuk mengembangkan kognitif moral peserta didik di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini didasari atas sejumlah keprihatinan peneliti terhadap banyaknya kasus perilaku menyimpang pada kalangan anak-anak usia sekolah dasar hingga remaja. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) dengan empat tahap pengembangan yang meliputi: (1) studi pendahuluan, (2) perencanaan dan pengembangan model, (3) validasi, ujicoba dan revisi, dan (4) hasil pengembangan produk. Uji implementasi model PBKM dalam tematik terpadu yang dikembangkan dilakukan pada skala terbatas dan skala lebih luas dengan menggunakan experiment designs dengan Pre-test post-test control desain. Populasi penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas V SD dari 5 sekolah dasar di Mojokerto, Sidoarjo dan Surabaya. Keadaan perkembangan kognitif moral peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah aktivitas dalam model PBKM dalam tematik terpadu diukur dengan tes kognitif moral yang dikembangkan oleh Kohlberg dengan modifikasi. Hasil implementasi model PBKM dalam kegiatan pembelajaran diperoleh data bahwa model PBKM efektif dalam mengembangkan perkembangan kognitif moral peserta didik. Selain itu, model PBKM juga meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik untuk memikirkan dan merefleksikan nilai-nilai moral dalam hubungannya dengan diri sendiri, orang lain, masyarakat, dan lingkungan, serta membantu peserta didik untuk memiliki kesadaran moral tentang hal-hal yang boleh dilakukan dan tidak boleh dilakukan serta hal-hal yang pantas dan yang tidak pantas.;---ABSTRACT
This research aimed at developing the moral cognitive-based learning model in the thematic integrated instruction (known as PBKM) to develop the primary school students’ moral cognitive. This study was based on what many researchers concerned about cases regarding deviant behavior among primary school students and teenagers. This was a research and development (R & D) with the four stages of development including: (1) preliminary study, (2) planning and model development, (3) validation, testing and revision, and (4) product development results. The implementation test of the PBKM Learning model developed was conducted on the limited and wider scales using the pre-test post-test control experimental design. The population was the fifth graders of elementary schools of different towns: Mojokerto, Sidoarjo and Surabaya. The students’ moral cognitive development before and after the implementation of PBKM learning model was measured by the modified moral cognitive test developed by Kohlberg. The result showed that the implementation of PBKM learning model was effective to improve the students’ moral cognitive development steps. In addition, the PBKM learning model also enhanced the students' abilities to think and reflect moral values in relation to the students themselves, others, society, and their environment, and helped learners have a moral awareness about what they are and are not allowed to do may be undertaken as well as appropriate and inappropriate matters.
