Abstract

Kegagalan dalam mengelola suatu organiasi dapat disebabkan salah satu nya karena menurunnya kinerja karyawan. Kinerja yang dihasilkan oleh karyawan sangat berpengaruh bagi kelangsungan suatu organisasi. Karyawan yang memiliki kinerja baik maka akan bekerja secara efektif dan efisien sesuai dengan tujuan organiasi. Suatu organisasi tidak akan berjalan dengan baik apabila kinerja karyawan nya rendah, seperti yang dialami oleh salah satu perusahaan ritel di Bandung yaitu Toserba Yogya Cabang Sunda Bandung. Situasi ini membuat Toserba Yogya Cabang Bandung menciptakan suatu strategi untuk mengingkatkan kinerja karyawan dengan upaya meningkatkan kepuasan kerja karyawannya. Upaya untuk memenuhi kepuasan kerja karyawan dirancang oleh Toserba Yogya Cabang Sunda dengan mengefektifkan komunikasi kerja dalam perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh (1) gambaran komunikasi kerja, (2) gambaran kepuasan kerja, (3) gambaran kinerja karyawan, (4) pengaruh komunikasi kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja, dan (5) pengaruh kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan. Metode yang digunakan adalah explanatory survey dengan teknik sampel yaitu non probability sampling menggunakan samp jenuh dengan ukuran sampel sebesar 57 responden. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah regresi liniear sederhana dengan alat bantu software komputer Statistical Product for Service Solutions (SPSS) 22.0 for windows. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gambaran komunikasi kerja dalam kategori efektif, gambaran kepuasan kerja dalam kategori tinggi, gambaran kinerja karyawan dalam kategori tinggi, kepuasan kerja dipengaruhi oleh komunikasi kerja dan kinerja karyawan dipengaruhi oleh kepuasan kerja. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, disarankan agar perusahaan dapat memperbaiki komunikasi kerja karyawan untuk meningkatkan kepuasan kerja. Dalam segi komunikasi kerja disarankan agar pimpinan memperbaiki komunikasi keatas dengan cara memperbaiki efektifitas media komunikasi, sedangkan dalam segi kepuasan kerja disarankan agar dapat menigkatkan aspek pengawasan (supervisor) dengan cara menyusun jadwal pengawasan secara rutin, serta meningkatkan sikap disiplin karyawan, sementara untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawan disarankan agar perusahaan lebih memperhatikan kesampatan promosi kerja bagi karyawan.;---Failure in managing an organization can be caused by one of the decreasing of employee’s performance. Performance that is generated by employees is very influential for the run of organization. The employees who perform well will then work effectively and efficiently in accordance with organizational goals. An organization will not run properly if the performance of its employees is low, as it was experienced by one of the retail companies in Bandung which is Yogya Toserba, Sunda Branch, Bandung. This study aims to obtain (1) a description of work communication, (2) a description of job satisfaction, (3) a description of employees’ performance, (4) an influence of work communication towards job satisfaction, and (5) an influence of job satisfaction on employees’ performance. The method used is explanatory survey with sample technique is non probability sampling using saturation sampling numbered as 57 respondents. Data analysis technique used is simple linear regression with computer software “Statistical Product for Service Solutions (SPSS) 22.0 for windows”. The results in this study indicate that the description of working communication is in effective category, the description of job satisfaction picture is in high category, the description of employee performance is in high category, the job satisfaction is influenced by work communication and employees’ performance is influenced by job satisfaction. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that company provides working communication to improve the job satisfaction. In terms of its working communication, it is suggested for the leader to improve the communication aforementioned by improving the effectiveness of communication media, while in terms of job satisfaction is recommended to improve the supervisory aspects (supervisor) by arranging routine monitoring schedule, as well as improving the attitude of employee discipline, moreover to improve employees’ performance, is suggested to the companies pay more attention to job promotion for employees.
