Abstract

Penelitian penerapan field trip terhadap pemahaman hakikat sains didasari atas kurangnya siswa melek terhadap sains. Dalam membelajarkan sains diperlukan suatu landasan dalam belajar, landasan tersebut ialah hakikat sains. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu sekolah menengah atas (SMA) Kota Bandung dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran dengan metode field trip terhadap pemahaman hakikat sains siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode weak experimental dengan menggunakan one group pretest dan postest design. Sampel penelitian menggunakan 1 kelas X dipilih secara purposive sampling sebagai kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan metode field trip memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pemahaman hakikat sains siswa. Peningkatan penguasaan konsep pada setiap aspek hakikat sains dapat terlihat nilai rata – rata indeks gain. Peningkatan pemahaman hakikat sains siswa pada aspek berbasis secara empiris adalah 0,21 yang termasuk kedalam kategori rendah, pada aspek berdasarkan hasil pengamatan dan mencari inferensial adalah -0,04 termasuk kedalam kategori rendah, pada aspek ilmu pengetahuan adalah sebuah upaya kreatif adalah 0,13 termasuk kedalam kategori rendah. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh setelah diberi pembelajaran dengan metode field trip terhadap pemahaman hakikat sains siswa pada materi keanekaragaman hayati di kelas eksperimen.----------- This research about the implementation of field trip toward comprehension of nature of science is based on lack of awareness to science. In learning science its necessary to have a foundation, that foundation is nature of science. This research was conducted in one of senior highschool in Bandung city with pupose to analyze the influence field trip implementation about student comprehension of nature of science. The research uses a method of weak experimental by using one group pretest and posttest design. The research sample uses one class X grade which selected through purposive sampling as experiment class. The result of this research show that the learning of field trip give a significant influence on the student comprehension of nature of science. The increase on mastery of the concept at every aspect of nature of science can be seen from its mean value index gain. The increase on student comprehension of nature of science at base on empirical aspect is 0,21 counted in average category, base on observation and find an inferential aspect is -0,04 counted in low category, science is a creative endeavor aspect is 0,13 counted in low category. Conclusion of this research, there is a significant influence about student comprehension of nature of science in biodiversity concept after learning of field trip has given at experiment class.
