Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran PDEODE terhadap penguasaan konsep dan sikap ilmiah siswa pada pembelajaran pencemaran air, serta mengetahui respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran PDEODE. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap dua kelas X yakni sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kontrol di SMA Negeri 14 Bandung. Desain penelitian yang digunakan ialah nonequivalent control goup pretest-posttest design. Teknik penentuan sampel yang digunakan cluster random sampling. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap pembelajaran PDEODE. Hasil uji statistika dengan menggunakan uji independent t test menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran PDEODE memiliki pengaruh terhadap peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa, adapun nilai signifikansi yang didapatkan ialah 0,000 < 0,05. Skor perolehan N-gain yang didapatkan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berada pada kategori yang sama yakni kategori sedang namun memiliki perolehan angka yang berbeda yakni 0,58 pada kelas eksperimen dan 0,47 pada kelas kontrol. Persentase sikap ilmiah pada kelas eksperimen juga lebih besar dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen memiliki persentasi sikap ilmiah sebesar 83,13%, sedangkan kelas kontrol memiliki persentase 79,26%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran PDEODE mampu meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa dan juga terhadap sikap ilmiah siswa. Adanya penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mengubah kegiatan pembelajaran yang semula berpusat pada guru menjadi berpusat pada siswa, sehingga model pembelajaran PDEODE dapat dijadikan alternatif pembelajaran yang student centered. Penelitian ini diharapkan juga mampu untuk memperbaharui model-model pembelajaran yang digunakan di sekolah. Kata kunci:PDEODE, pencemaran air, penguasaankonsep, sikap ilmiah;--- The aim of research is to find out the influence of the application of the model of learning PDEODE against the mastery of concepts and scientific attitude of students to the study of water pollution, as well as knowing the response of students towards learning model PDEODE. This research was done to twoclass X which is class experiment and class control in SMA Negeri 14 Bandung. The research design used is the nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The technique of determination of the sample used cluster random sampling. The results of the analysis showed that the students gave positive response towards the learning model PDEODE.The result of statistical test by using independent t test indicates that learning model PDEODE has an impact on the improvement of student’s mastery concept, thesignificancy value is 0,000 < 0,05. The N-gain score brings the classroom experiment and control classes are on the same category but it has a dofferent score which is 0.58 on class experiments and 0.43 on class control. Percentage of the scientific attitude in class experiments is also larger than the class of the control. Class experiment has 83,13% and class control has 79,26% percentage of scientific attitude. This shows that the model of learning PDEODE was able increase towards students mastery concepts and also a scientific attitude towards students. The existence of this research are expected to change the original learning activities centered on the teacher becomes the student-centered, so this learning model can be used as an alternative of student centered learning.
