Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kecerdasan emosional pada pemain musik (vokal dan instrumen). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini dipilih secara purposive, yaitu 3 orang individu yang mengikuti aktivitas bermusik sejak dini di Jurusan Pendidikan Seni Musik UPI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gambaran kecerdasan emosional dimana ketiganya sudah dapat secara dewasa berperilaku baik segi sosial bermasyarakat dan juga dalam bermusiknya. Ketiga subjek sudah memenuhi komponen-komponen kecerdasan emosionalnya, dima¬na hal itu meliputi kesadaran diri, pengaturan diri, motivasi, empati serta keterampilan subjek. Ketiga subjek sudah dapat mengelola emosi mereka ketika akan bermain musik. Dalam motivasi, ketiganya sudah memiliki motivasi dalam dirinya yaitu dalam bermusik maupun diluar itu. Serta kemampuan mereka dalam mengenali emosi orang sekitarnya maupun emosi para komposer dalam bermain musik. Dan yang terakhir, ketiganya dapat membina hubungan dengan baik, baik itu dalam bermusik dan diluar itu. Kata kunci : gambaran, kecerdasan emosional, pemain musik This study aims to describe the emotional intelligence in music player ( vocals and instruments ) . This study uses a case study design with qualitative approach . These subjects were selected purposively , There are 3 individuals who follow the activities of early music in the Department of Art Education Music UPI . The results show that emotional intelligence picture of where the trio was able to mature in terms of social well-behaved and well in the musical community . All three subjects had to meet the components of emotional intelligence , which it includes self-awareness, self-regulation , motivation , empathy and skill subjects . All three subjects are able to manage their emotions when they play music . In motivation , all of the subject have a motivation in their own that is in music and outside it . As well as their ability to recognize emotions and the emotions of the people around him in playing music composers . And lastly , all three can build a good relationship with , be it in music and beyond. Keywoard : description,emotional intelligence, music player
