Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan atas permasalahan pembelajaran konvensional yang tidak menekankan pada pengembangan kreativitas siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan kognitif dan kreativitas peserta didik melalui penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada topik biogas. penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimen One Group Pretest-Postest Design, dengan subjek penelitian 38 orang peserta didik kelas XI di SMAN Kota Bandung. Peserta didik dibagi dalam tiga kategori kelompok kemampuan yaitu tinggi, sedang dan rendah berdasarkan nilai rata-rata ulangan harian. Aspek keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan bertindak kreatif yang dikembangkan meliputi kelancaran, keluwesan, orisinalitas, merinci dan menilai. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis pilihan ganda, essay, lembar observasi, angket (skala likert) dan pedoman wawancara. Peningkatan hasil belajar dihitung menggunakan N-gain. Hubungan antara peningkatan antar variabel digunakan korelasi Pearson dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif peserta didik dengan kategori sedang (%N-gain = 69,6). Pencapaian dari aspek kelancaran dan keluwesan secara keseluruhan berkategori tinggi (%N-gain > 70) sedangkan untuk aspek elaboratif berkategori sedang (%N-gain < 70). Peningkatan bertindak kreatif dilihat dari aspek kelancaran, keluwesan, orisinalitas, merinci dan menilai secara keseluruhan berkategori tinggi (%N-gain > 70). Hasil analisis korelasi antara kemampuan kognitif dengan berpikir kreatif menunjukkan hubungan kuat (r = 0,584), terdapat hubungan berkategori cukup antara kognitif dan bertindak kreatif (r = 0,329) dan terdapat hubungan berkategori cukup antara berpikir kreatif dan bertindak kreatif (r = 0,424). Produk kreatif yang dihasilkan peserta didik berupa alat digester biogas sederhana. Para siswa memberikan tanggapan yang positif terhadap pembelajaran dan mereka merasa senang serta termotivasi dalam mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan model yang dimplementasikan, Keyword : PBL, kemampuan kognitif, berpikir kreatif, bertindak kreatif, biogas, This study is based on conventional learning problems that do not emphasized on the development of student creativity. This study aims to analyze the cognitive abilities and creativity of learners through the application of problem-based learning on the topic of biogas. The research method used is a pre-eksperimental one group pretest and posttest design. The research subject of the study is 38 students of class XI in SMA at Bandung. The student are devided into three group categories high, medium and low based on the average value of daily test. The aspect of creative thinking skills and creative acts developed include fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration and evaluation The instruments used are written test, observation sheet, questionnaire (Likert scale) and interview. The improved learning outcomes are calculated by using the formula N-gain. The relationship between variables used Pearson correlation with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that this learning model can improve cognitive ability of students with high category (% N-gain = 69.6). Achievement of fluency and flexibility aspect overall in high category (% N-gain> 70) while for elaborative aspect is medium category (% N-gain < 70). The improvement of creative acting is seen from the aspect of fluency, flexibility, originality, elaborative and evaluation overall in high category (% N-gain> 70). There is a strong relationship between improve cognitive ability and creative thinking skills (r = 0,584). The relationship of improve cognitive ability and creative act is a medium relationship category (r= 0,329) and the relationship of creative thingking and creative act there is a medium relationship category (r = 0,424). Digester biogas is the creative product of student. The student respond positively toward learning.
