Abstract

Pendidikan adalah alat untuk mengembangkan kemampuan siswa. Peta konsep adalah sebuah kerangka hubungan antara konsep satu dengan konsep lain yang dihubungkan dengan proposisi sehingga mengandung makna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur hubungan kemampuan peta konsep dengan hasil belajar siswa, SMA pada konsep substansi genetik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi-eskperimen jenis non-equivalent control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah 63 siswa kelas XII SMA. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes penguasaan konsep berbentuk pilihan ganda dan pembuatan peta konsep. Tes penguasaan konsep dilakukan untuk mendapatkan hasil belajar siswa. Peta konsep acuan dan peta konsep hasil siswa dinilai menggunakan teknik penilaian kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Penilaian kuantitatif mengacu pada penilaian Novak dan Gowin. Penilaian kualitatif berdasarkan analisis peta konsep Kinchin. Siswa membuat peta konsep setelah belajar substansi genetika secara individu dengan diberikan sebuah wacana mengenai materi substansi genetik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peta konsep yang dibuat oleh siswa memiliki skor yang masih rendah dibanding skor peta konsep acuan. Struktur peta konsep yang dibuat siswa sebagian besar adalah struktur dengan bentuk net. Peta konsep yang dibuat oleh siswa juga mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi yang biasa terjadi dalam substansi genetika. Hubungan membuat peta konsep dengan hasil belajar siswa ditemukan terdapat pengaruh perlakuan. Dimana hubungan antara nilai pilihan ganda dengan nilai peta konsep tergolong rendah dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 38,7%. . Concept map is a framework between one concept and another concept that connected with proportion that contain purpose. This research has purpose to measure the relation of concept map ability and students' learning outcomes in Senior High School, in Gen Substance concept. The method that used in this research is Quasi-experiment type Non-equivalent control group design. Sample in this research is 63 students' from XII class in Senior High School.The data gathered by evaluation of concept mastery in form of multiple choice and concept map. Evaluation of concept mastery is to get students' learning outcomes. References concept map and concept map design by students' scored used Quantitative and Qualitative technique. Quantitative technique refer to Novak and Gowin. Qualitative technique refer to Kinchin concept map analysis. Students' designing concept map after learn about Gen Substance individual by given a discourse about Gen Substance. The result shows that concept map which design by students' mostly with net structure. Concept map which design by students' also identify misconception that commonly happen in Gen Substance. The relation of designing concept map with result of students' learning is find the effect of treatment. Where the relation between multiple choice with concept map score is lower with coefficient corelation in amount of 38.7%. Key word: Learning outcomes, Concept map, Gen Substance
