Abstract
In water polo, there are several techniques which must be mastered such as passing, shooting, dribbling, swimming and egg beater. The purpose of this research is to know how big the influence of triceps overhead extension training with pyramid system methods towards arm power improvement and water polo long pass result. A water polo player, should be able to make throws, both in close distance and in long distance. The problems that the author propose in this study is about the form of training to improve arm’s power and the result of water polo’s long pass. The way to solve it is to give weight triceps overhead extension training treatment with the pyramid system methods. Treatment given as much as 16 times meeting to 12 West Java’s women water polo athletes.. Based on data processing result, the reseacher took a conclusion that the training treatment has a significant influence towards arm power improvement and water polo long pass result from the preliminary data test which obtained with average of 386,08 and the final data test of 421,33 for arm’s power, while for long pass the average data from the preliminary test is 17,21 and the final test is 18,01.
