Abstract

Tingkat pengangguran pada pendidikan vokasi di perguruan tinggi terus meningkat. Data yang dilansir BPS pada bulan Februari 2014 yang lalu menunjukkan bahwa jumlah penganggur lulusan pendidikan vokasi sampai dengan Februari 2016 mengalami kenaikan sebesar 27,4%. Di tinjau dari aspek kurikulum apakah program pendidikan yang dilakukan oleh perguruan tinggi sudah sesuai dengan yang dibutuhkan di industri. Adapun tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat relevansi kurikulum perguruan tinggi terhadap kebutuhan industri. Metode yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, bentuk penelitian deskriptif yang bersifat eksploratif non hipotesis (tanpa hipotesis) yaitu dengan melakukan survei, wawancara, diskusi bersama para narasumber, baik dari Pendidikan Vokasi maupun industri. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh gambaran bahwa kurikulum yang dikembangkan Pendidikan Vokasi di Perguruan Tinggi perlu melakukan penyesuaian terutama pada bidang human relation. Kata kunci: Relevansi Kurikulum, Pendidikan vokasi, kompetensi yang dibutuhkan industri. Unemployment rate in vocational education in universities continue to rise. Data reported by BPS in February 2014 showed that the number of unemployed graduates of vocational education up to February 2016 increased by 27.4%. In the review of curriculum aspects whether educational programs conducted by universities are in accordance with the needs in the industries or not. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relevance of universities curriculum to industry needs. This study used descriptive explorative of qualitative method with non hypothesis by conducting surveys, interviews, discussion with the speakers, both from the Vocational Education and industries. The result showed that the curriculum developed by Vocational Education in universities need to make adjustments, especially in the field of human relations.
