Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kerjasama siswa di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Hal ini ditandai dengan sikap yang muncul pada pembelajaran yang bersifat Cooperative. Hal tersebut di latarbelakangi oleh proses belajar yang masih berpusat pada guru dan kurangnya antusias siswa dalam pembelajaran secara berkelompok sehingga menyebabkan kurangnya kerjasama siswa dalam pembelajaran. Peneliti mencoba menerapkan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair share (TPS) yaitu merupakan suatu model berkelompok dan berpasangan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Think Pair Share dan peningkatan kerjasama siswa dengan menerapkan pembelajaran kooperatif tip Think Pair Share dalam pembelajaran IPS kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi, yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Gegerkalong KPAD I berjumlah 44 siswa dengan laki-laki sebanyak 25 orang dan perempuan 19 orang. Hasil dari pengolahan data membuktikan bahwa presentase keterampilan kerjasama siswa pada siklus I sebesar 64% dan siklus II sebesar 96%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share dapat meningkatkan kerjasama siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS.;---The current research is drawn upon the lack of cooperation of fourth grade students of primary school. This is displayed by their attitudes in cooperative learning. Such an issue is due to the focus of learning which is on those of teachers and the enthusiasm that is lacking in the students when having group-work learning, further leading to students do not demonstrate good cooperation among themselves. The researcher tries to apply cooperative learning, namely Think Pair Share (TPS), which is a learning model done in group or in pair. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of Think Pair Share cooperative learning model and the improvement of students cooperation by applying Think Pair Share cooperative learning model in learning Social Studies of fourth grade of primary school. The learning model used in the research is classroom action research of Kemmis and McTaggart, conducted in two cycles which include planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subject of the study is fourth grade students of SD Gegerkalong KPAD I, consisting of 44 students, with 25 male students and 19 female students. The data analysis shows that students cooperative skill is 64% in cycle I and 96% in cycle II. Based on the result it can be concluded that applying Think Pair Share cooperative learning model can improve students' cooperation in learning Social Studies.
