Abstract
Kinerja masih menjadi pokok permasalahan yang banyak dihadapi oleh
perusahaan saat ini. Sebuah penelitian yang dilakukan oleh The Boston Consulting
Grup (BCG) melihat negara Indonesia memiliki kinerja yang tergolong rendah
dan kurang tenaga kerja yang berkualitas. Rendahnya kinerja membuat Indonesia
tidak siap menghadapi pertumbuhan ekonomi yang cukup tinggi. Penilaian
Human Development Index (HDI) memberikan gambaran mengenai tingkat
pembangunan sumber daya manusia disuatu negara. Berdasarkan penilaian HDI,
kedudukan Indonesia masih dibawah rata-rata indeks pembangunan manusia
dunia 0,694 dan regional 0,683. Belum optimalnya kinerja karyawan sangat
dirasakan oleh beberapa perusahaan milik Negara Indonesia, namun hal ini tidak
menyurutkan niat bagi sebagian perusahaan umumnya untuk tetap tumbuh dan
terus berkembang khususnya pada perusahaan BUMN Perkebunan yaitu PT.
Perkebunan Nusantara VIII. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh (1)
gambaran kompetensi, (2) gambaran motivasi kerja, (3) gambaran kinerja
karyawan, (4) pengaruh kompetensi terhadap kinerja karyawan, (5) pengaruh
motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan, dan (6) pengaruh kompetensi dan
motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan. Metode yang digunakan adalah
explanatory survey dengan teknik sampel yaitu probability sampling dengan
menggunakan simple random sampling yang berjumlah 95 orang. Teknik analisa
data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda dengan alat bantu software
komputer Statistical Product for Service Solutions (SPSS) 23.0 for macbook.
Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gambaran kompetensi
dalam kategori cukup baik, gambaran motivasi kerja dalam kategori tinggi,
gambaran kinerja karyawan dalam kategori sangat tinggi, dan kinerja karyawan
dipengaruhi oleh kompetensi dan motivasi kerja. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini,
disarankan perusahaan dapat meningkatkan human resources management
competency guna memperbaiki serta meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Dalam segi
motivasi kerja disarankan agar perusahaan dapat terus mendukung para karyawan
untuk dapat meningkatkan motivasi kerja dengan menyediakan fasilitas yang
memadai serta memberikan kesempatan yang sama untuk karyawan
mengembangkan kemampuan dan keterampilan. Sehingga diharapkan kompetensi
dan motivasi kerja perlu diperhatikan lebih lanjut oleh perusahaan dalam
menunjang peningkatan kinerja karyawan.;---Perfomance is still being a major problem to face by many company. A study
which is conducted by The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) they see that
Indonesia has low perfomance and lack of quality employee. Because low of
perfomance make Indonesia doesn`t ready to a high economical growth. An
apprisial by Human Development Index (HDI) give was about level of human
resourches development illustration in a country. Based on HDI apprisial
Indonesia still place under world average human development index with 0,694
point and 0,683 point for regional. Unoptimalization of employee perfomance was
perceived in few of indonesian state owned company, but this problem doesn`t
discourage the company, especially in plantation company in this case PT.
Perkebunan Nusantara VIII. This research is to know (1) Competency
Illustration,(2) Work Motivation Illustration, (3) Employee Perfomance
Illustration, (4) The Influence Of Competency To Employee Perfomance, (5) The
Influence of Work Motivation to Employee Perfomance, and (6) The Influence of
Work Competency and Motivation to Employee Perfomance. The method which
used in this research is explanatory survey with sample technique which is
probability sampling that used simple random sampling with 95 people as
samples. The data analysis technique was multiple linier regresion in computer
software Statistical Product for Services Solution (SPSS) 23.0 for macbook. This
research result show that competency illustration was qualified as good enough,
work motivation illustration was qualified high, employee perfomanced was
qualified very high, and employee perfomance that influenced by competence and
work motivation. Based on the result of this reseach writer suggest, to the
company to increase human resources management competency to fix and also to
increase employee perfomance and for work motivation, company suggest to keep
suporting employee to get work motivation increase by providing a facility and
give employee same chance to developt the ability and skills of employee. In the
future, the company need to pay more attention to developt competence and work
motivation of employee.
