Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh dari kegiatan praktikum terhadap kreatif disposisi, kreativitas siswa dan pemahaman siswa dalam belajar perpindahan kalor. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang dilakukan adalah cluster random sampling di kelas eksperimen (n=19 peserta didik) dan kelas control (n=21 peserta didik) dengan populasi peserta didik kelas VII di salah satu Sekolah Menengah Pertama di Bandung. Kelas eksperimen di ajarkan menggunakan metode eksperimen sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan metode demonstrasi. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa disposisi kreatif dalam pelajaran di kelas eksperimen adalah 47,67 menit dari total waktu kemunculan seluruh indicator kreatif disposisi sedangkan kelas kontrol adalah 27,83 menit dari total waktu kemunculan seluruh indicator disposisi kreatif. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukan kreativitas peserta didik dari kelas experiment adalah 80,17% dan kelas kontrol 69,73%. Berdasarkan data analisis pemahaman peserta didik, N-gain untuk kelas eksperimen adalah 0,63 yang dikategorikan sedang sedangkan kelas control 0,53 yang dikategorikan sedang. Peningkatan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi perpindahan kalor juga dapat dilihat dari uji independent t-test yang hasilnya 0,001 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan di kedua kelas. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan penelitian selanjutnya tetapi pada topik lain seperti energi, optik dan listrik.;--- The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of practical works on creative disposition, students’ creativity and understanding in learning heat transfer. The method that was used in this research was experimental research. The sample was taken by cluster random sampling technique in experimental class (n=19 students) and control class (n=21 students) with the population of 7th grade students at Junior High School in Bandung. Experiment class was taught by experiment or practical method while control class was used demonstration method. The result of the research showed that the creative disposition of the lesson in experiment was 47.67 minutes of the total appearing time of all creative disposition indicators while in control was 27.83 minutes of the total appearing time of all creative disposition indicators. Then, the result of the research showed that the creativity of the students in making thermos in experiment class was 80.17% and in control class was 69.73%. Based on the analysis of the students’ understanding results, the N-Gain in experiment class is 0,63 which categorized as medium improvement while in control class is 0.53 which categorized as medium improvement. The improvement of students understanding toward the concept which is heat transfer also could be noticed by independent t-test with significant 0.001 which means there was significant difference between both classes. The recommendation from this research is conducting the next research but in different topic such as energy, optics and electricity.
