Abstract

Perkembangan sosial anak tunalaras yang tidak matang menyebabkan anak tunalaras tidak dapat menjalin hubungan sosial yang harmonis. Hal ini berdampak pada perilakunya sehari-hari dan berpengaruh pula pada saat kegiatan pembelajaran, anak tunalaras saling mencemooh dan tidak dapat menunjukkan sikap toleransi pada saat proses pembelajaran berbagi ide dan pengalaman. Sikap yang ditunjukkan anak tunalaras tersebut merupakan bukti bahwa anak tunalaras memiliki keterampilan sosial yang rendah. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut peneliti ingin berkontribusi untuk mengembangkan keterampilan sosial anak tunalaras melalui teknik pembelajaran Think Pair Share. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain One grup pretest-posttest design. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan teknik pembelajaran Think Pair Share efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial anak tunalaras pada aspek hidup dan bekerjasama; bergiliran; menghormati hak orang lain; peka terhadap orang lain, belajar mengendalikan diri sendiri dan mengarahkan diri sendiri, berbagi ide dan pengalaman dengan orang lain. Teknik pembelajaran Think Pair Share dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk guru dalam kegiatan pembelajaran guna meningkatkan keterampilan sosial anak tunalaras. Kata Kunci : Teknik Pembelajaran Think Pair Share, Keterampilan Sosial, Anak Tunalaras The unmatured social development of children with behavior disorders resulting their incapability to build harmonious relationship. This has an impact on daily behavior and also affect the time of learning activities, children with behavior disorders will booing each other and can not demonstrate tolerance during the learning process to share ideas and experiences. The attitude shown that children with behavior disorders are evidence that they had low social skills. Based on this problem, researcher want to contribute to developing social skills of children with behavior disorders through Think Pair Share learning techniques. The method used in this study is an experimental method to design One group pretest-posttest design. Data analysis techniques in this study using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed Think Pair Share learning technique effective to improve the social skills of children with behavior disorders on aspects of Living and working together; taking turns; respecting the rights of others; being socially sensitive, Learning self-control and self-direction, Sharing ideas and experience with others. Think Pair Share learning techniques can be used as an alternatives for teachers in learning activities in order to improve the social skills of children with behavior disorders.
