Abstract
Penelitian ini berjudul “Penerapan Pendekatan Kontekstual DalamPembelajaran IPA Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Siswa. Penelitian ini berkenaan dengan permasalahan dalam pemahaman konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA dengan nilai siswa yang belum mencapai KKM IPA. Hal ini didasarkan pada hasil observasi awal yang menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep siswa di Sekolah Dasar Negeri masih rendah. Dalam penelitian ini pemahaman konsep yang diteliti yaitu indicator menjelaskan, indicator mengklasifikasikan, indicator mencontohkan dan indicator menyimpulkan. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukanyaitumeningkatkanpemahamankonsepdenganmenerapkanpendekatankontekstual.Tujuan yang hendakdicapaidalampenelitianiniyaitu: (1) memperoleh gambaran tentang proses pembelajaran dengan penerapan pendekatan kontekstual dalampembelajaran IPA untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. (2) memperolehgambarantentangpeningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa dalampembelajaran IPA denganmenerapkan pendekatan kontektual pada proses pembelajarannya. Penelitian Tindakan Kelasini menggunakan Model Kemmis& Taggart yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil observasi dan hasil tes pemahaman konsep siswa.Hasilpenelitian yang diperolehyaitu, presentasesiswa yang tuntasindikatormenjelaskanpadasiklus Isebesar 86,6% pada siklus II meningkatmenjadi 90%, indicator mengklasifikasikan pada siklus I sebesar 93,3% meningkat menjadi 96,6%, indicator mencontohkan padasiklus I sebesar 90% meningkatmenjadi 96,6%, dan indicator menyimpulkan pada siklus I sebesar 80% meningkatmenjadi 93,3%. Dari data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep siswa meningkat setelah dilakukan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan pendekatan kontekstual.;--- This study, entitled "Application of Contextual Approach In Science Lesson For Students Improve Understanding Concepts. This study with regard to the problem of students' understanding of concepts in science teaching with students who have not reached the value of KKM natural science. It is based on the results of preliminary observations indicate that the understanding of the concept of elementary school students in the State is still low. In this study the understanding of the concept under study is an indicator describes, classifies indicators, indicators and indicators pointed concluded. One of the efforts is to improve understanding of concepts by applying contextual approach. Goals to be achieved in this study are: (1) obtain a description of the learning process with the application of contextual approach in science teaching to enhance students' understanding of the concept. (2) obtain a picture of an improved understanding of the concept of students in learning science by applying a contextual approach to the learning process. This class action research using Model Kemmis & Taggart conducted in two cycles. Data collection techniques used in this study is the result of observation and tests students' understanding of the concept. The results obtained, namely, the percentage of students who completed the indicator explained in the first cycle of 86.6% on the second cycle increased to 90%, classifying indicators in the first cycle of 93.3% increased to 96.6%, the indicators cited in the first cycle increased by 90% to 96.6%, and the indicator conclude the first cycle increased by 80% to 93.3%. From these data show that increasing students' understanding of the concept after learning by applying contextual approach.
