Abstract

Buku teks merupakan salah satu bentuk bahan ajar yang paling banyak digunakan dan berpengaruh terhadap kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kelayakan buku teks Kimia SMA/MA kelas XI materi larutan penyangga oleh penulis A, penerbit B yang digunakan di sebagian besar SMA/MA di Kota Bandung, berdasarkan kriteria tahap seleksi dari 4S TMD. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah evaluatif. Terdapat tiga kriteria bahan ajar yang baik berdasarkan tahap seleksi dari 4S TMD yaitu kesesuaian dengan tuntutan kurikulum, kebenaran konsep, dan penanaman nilai. Berdasarkan kriteria pertama yaitu kesesuaian dengan tuntutan kurikulum, materi larutan penyangga pada buku teks belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum 2013. Kesesuaian dengan tuntutan kurikulum dapat ditinjau dari dua segi, yaitu keluasan materi dan kedalaman konsep. Ditinjau dari segi keluasan materi, objek penelitian tidak menyampaikan 4 konsep yang dituntut oleh kurikulum dan menyampaikan 1 konsep yang tidak dituntut oleh kurikulum. Akan tetapi, ditinjau dari segi kedalaman konsep, dari 12 konsep yang dituntut oleh kurikulum terdapat 7 konsep yang dinyatakan kurang dalam, 1 konsep dinyatakan terlalu dalam. Selanjutnya, berdasarkan kriteria kedua, yakni kebenaran konsep, diketahui bahwa dari 12 konsep tuntutan kurikulum, terdapat 2 konsep yang belum benar secara keilmuan berdasarkan referensi buku-buku teks kimia umum internasional. Berdasarkan kriteria terakhir, yaitu penanaman nilai, diketahui bahwa terdapat beberapa nilai yang ditanamkan pada materi larutan penyangga dalam buku teks tersebut, yaitu disiplin, toleransi, demokratis, komunikatif, dan rasa ingin tahu.;---Textbooks are one form of teaching materials that most widely used and affect the quality of learning. This study aims to describe feasibility of chemical learning textbooks for grade XI in senior high school in buffer solution material writted by A, produced by B, which is used in most SMA/MA in Kota Bandung, based on the criteria of the selection process 4S TMD. The type of research is evaluative research. There are three criteria in the selection process of the 4S TMD, those are conformity with the demands of the curriculum, concepts validity, and inculcation of values. Based on the first criterion, that is conformity with the demands of the curriculum, buffer solution material in the textbook is not in accordance with demands of Kurikulum 2013. The conformity with the demands of the curriculum be viewed from two aspects, those are material broadness and concepts depth. In term of material broadness, there are not submit 4 concepts that is demanded by curriculum and submit 1 concept that is not demanded by curriculum. Meanwhile, in terms of concepts depth, from 12 concepts demanded by the curriculum, 7 concepts are less deep, 1 concept is too deep. Futhermore, based on the second criterion, that is concept validity, it is known that from 12 concepts required by curriculum, there are 2 concepts invalid scientifically by reference to international general chemistry books. Based on the last criterion, that is inculcation of values, it is known that the values inculcated in the buffer solution material in the textbook are discipline, tolerance, democratic, communicative, and curiosity.
