Abstract
Hasil studi pendahuluan terhadap kemampuan merancang praktikum berbasis inkuiri guru kimia SMA di Kabupaten Sumedang, menunjukkan perlunya upaya pengembangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan guru kimia dalam merancang praktikum berbasis inkuiri. Peneliti memilih pelatihan guru tipe Scaffolding untuk memecahkan masalah. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 24 orang guru kimia yang terlibat aktif di dalam Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Kimia SMA Kabupaten Sumedang dan 60 siswa kelas XI di dua sekolah. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan merancang praktikum berbasis inkuiri, rubrik karakteristik inkuiri Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), angket tanggapan guru terhadap pelatihan, serta lembar observasi dan rubrik penilaian kreativitas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan merancang praktikum berbasis inkuiri meningkat dengan rerata N-gain adalah 0,8 atau berada pada kategori tinggi. Kemampuan mengkaji fenomena kontekstual dan menyusun pertanyaan pengarah memiliki rerata N-gain paling tinggi yaitu 0,9. Tanggapan guru terhadap pelatihan secara umum memberikan respon positif, ditunjukkan dengan kriteria persentase tanggapan guru pada kategori kuat dan sangat kuat. Profil kreativitas siswa setelah implementasi praktikum berbasis inkuiri menunjukkan keterampilan berpikir lancar (fluency), keterampilan berpikir luwes (flexibility), keterampilan berpikir orisinil dan elaborasi pada kategori sangat baik. Sikap kreatif siswa pada kategori baik. Produk kreatif yang dihasilkan oleh siswa setelah implementasi pada kategori sangat baik. ;-- Preliminary studies on the ability to design inquiry-based lab of chemistry teacher in Sumedang, indicates need development. This study aims to develop chemistry teacher's ability in designing inquiry-based lab. Researcher chose teacher training program with Scaffolding strategy to solve the problem. The research conducted on 24 teachers of chemistry who was involved in the MGMP Kimia SMA Kabupaten Sumedang and 60 students of XI grade from two different schools. The instruments was items test capability of designing inquiry-based lab, inquiry-based lab characteristics rubric, questionnaire, observation sheets and assessment rubric for student creativity. The results showed that the ability to design inquiry-based lab increased with N-gain mean is 0.8 or at the high category. The ability to assess the phenomenon of contextual and making steering questions has a highest N-gain mean is 0.9. Teacher’s response about the training program generally gave a positive response. Indicated by the percentage criteria of teacher responses on the category of strong and very strong. Student’s creativity on the implementation of inquiry-based lab indicate fluency, flexibility, original, and elaboration at very good category. Creative attitude of students in good categories. Creative products produced by students at very good category.
