Abstract

Masalah yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini salah satunya adalah kesulitan belajar yang dialami siswa pada konsep keliling dan luas daerah trapesium. Konteks permasalahan (soal) yang tidak biasa atau asing bagi seseorang seringkali menyulitkan mereka saat berusaha mencari penyelesaiannya. Kurangnya penguasaan konsep dasar ataupun minimnya pengalaman mengerjakan soal-soal dengan variasi konteks, turut mempengaruhi munculnya kesulitan saat mengerjakan masalah yang dihadapi. Munculnya kesulitan dalam belajar matematika juga dapat disebabkan oleh faktor siswa yang kurang termotivasi dalam belajar. Hal tersebut bisa disebabkan oleh bahan ajar ataupun dari model pembelajaran yang kurang menarik perhatian siswa. Metode penelitian utama yang digunakan adalah Didactical Design Research (DDR) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Terdapat tiga tahap dalam penelitian ini, yaitu tahap pertama berupa identifikasi terhadap learning obstacle, tahap kedua berupa uji coba desain didaktis awal berbasis komik matematika dan tahap ketiga setelah desain didaktis awal diujikan terhadap siswa SMP kelas VII maka akan disusun kembali desain didaktis revisi berbasis komik matematika yang dapat menjadi alternatif guru dalam mengajarkan konsep keliling dan luas daerah trapesium. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Bentuk desain didaktis berbasis komik matematika berisi konsep keliling dan luas daerah trapesium yang dikemas dalam bentuk komik matematika dan memuat lembar kerja yang dapat membimbing siswa dalam memahami konsep keliling dan luas daerah trapesium; 2) Hampir seluruh siswa menunjukkan sikap positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan desain didaktis berbasis komik matematika.;--- One of the issues underlying this study is the learning obstacles experienced by the students on the and perimeter and area’s concept of trapezoid. Context issues (question) an unusual or strange for someone is often difficult for them when trying to find the solution. The lack of mastery of basic concepts or the lack of experience of working on the problems with a variety of contexts, also affect the emergence of difficulties when working on problems encountered. The emergence of difficulties in learning mathematics can also be caused by factors of students who are not motivated to learn. This can be caused by the teaching materials or of a learning models that are less attracted the attention of students. The main methods used in this study is Didactical Design Research (DDR) with qualitative approach. There are three stages in this study; which is the first stage was the identification of learning obstacles, the second stage is the test of mathematic comic-based early didactic design and the third stage after the early design didactic tested on VII grade students of junior high school then it will be reassembled mathematic comic-based revision didactic design that can be an alternative for mathematics teachers in teaching the concept of perimeter and area of trapezoid. Based on the result and discussion of the study can be conclude that: 1) The form of mathematic comic-based didactic design contain perimeter and area’s concept of trapezoid which are delivered in the form of mathematical comic including worksheets to guide students in understanding the concept of perimeter and area of trapezoid; 2) Almost all student showed positive attitude towards mathematics learning using mathematic comic-based didactic design.
