Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Pembelajaran Saxophone Tingkat Dasar di Sinfonia Music School. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah karena kurangnya komitmen dari pengajar dalam mengajarkan saxophone, proses pembelajaran yang menjenuhkan, akan berdampak negatif kepada proses pembelajarannya, serta diperlukannya metode pembelajaran yang baik sesuai konsep pembelajaran musik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengungkapkan dan mendeskripsikanl angkah-langkah pembelajaran, metode pembelajaran dan hasil kemampuan siswa setelah mengikuti Pembelajaran Saxophone Tingkat Dasar di Sinfonia Music School. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah wawancara, observasi, studi literatur dan studi dokumentasi. Konsep pembelajaran menggambarkan tentang komponen pembelajaran, yaitu tujuan pembelajaran dan materi pembelajaran. Proses pelaksanaan pemebelajaran menggambarkan kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan, seperti siswa mempelajari teknik dasar dalam bermain saxophone, siswa memepelajari dan memainkan tangga nada, siswa belajar membaca buku not balok. Metode yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran saxophone yaitu metode ekspositori, metode ceramah, metode demonstrasi, metode imitasi, dan metode drill. Hasil pelaksanaan memperlihatkan perkembangan siswa setelah mengikuti proses pembelajaran.;--- This study entitled Learning the Basic Level of Saxophone in Sinfonia Music School. The background of this study is the lack of commitment of the teachers in teaching the saxophone, the saturate learning process will negatively impact the learning process, then the good learning methods which are suitable to the concept of learning musicare needed. The aim of this study are revealing and describing learning steps, learning methods and the results of the students’ ability after attending Learning the Basic Level of Saxophone in Sinfonia Music School. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, literature study and documentation study. The concept of learning describes the learning components, namely the learning objectives and learning materials. The implementation process of learning illustrates the lesson activities, as students learn the basic techniques in playing the saxophone, learn the musical scales and how to raise them, and learn to read the whole note. The methodswhich areused in the process of learning the saxophone are the expository method, lectures, demonstration method, the method of imitation, and drill method. Then, the results of the study show the students' progress after implementing the learning process.
