Abstract
Kota Cilegon merupakan salah satu kota yang dikenal dengan sebutan kota baja, Namun tidak hanya itu, banyak jenis wisata yang lain yang dimiliki oleh kota tersebut yang dapat meningkatkan daya tarik kepariwisataan Kota Cilegon, salah satunya wisata industri Krakatau Steel (KS). Wisata industri KS banyak dikunjungi oleh para pelajar dan mahasiswa, karena wisata industri KS memberikan wahana edukasi dan pengalaman belajar bagi semua wisatawan yang berkunjung ke wisata industri, semua itu tidak lepas dari karakter wisatawan yang berkunjung. Bagi wisatawan pelajar atau mahasiswa khususnya, berkunjung ke sebuah lokasi industri sangatlah menarik. Untuk itu pentingnya mengkaji tentang bagaimana wisata industri KS di Kota Cilegon digunakan sebagai wisata edukasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode deskriptif dan survei. Adapun temuan yang dihasilkan bahwa wisata industri KS sangat cocok dijadikan wisata edukasi, karena berhubungan dengan program edukasi yang ada di wisata industri KS yang diberikan kepada para pengunjung, serta keterlibatan langsung para pengunjung dengan kegiatan wisata yang ada di lokasi industri seperti bagaimana proses produksi terjadi. Selain itu wisata industri KS banyak dimanfaatkan oleh para wisatawan dari berbagai macam disiplin ilmu sebagai kegiatan dari wisata pendidikan.; Cilegon is one of the city known as the steel city, but not only that, many types of tours that are owned by the cilegon city that can enhance the attractiveness of tourism in Cilegon city, one of the industry travel Krakatau Steel (KS). Industry Travel KS visited by many students, because the industry travel KS give rides provide education and learning experience for all the tourists who visit the industry travel, it can not be separated from the character of the tourists who visit. For tourists a student in particular, a visit to an industrial location is very attractive. that can be utilized in industrial location KS. To assess the importance of how the industry travel KS in City cilegon used as a educational tour. This research was conducted using descriptive and survey methods. The findings generated that the industry travel KS is a proper educational tour, because it deals with educational programs that exist in the industry travel KS given to the visitors, as well as the direct involvement of the visitors with tourist activities in industrial locations such as how the production process occurs. Besides industry travel KS frequently used by tourists from various disciplines as the activities of educational travel.
