Abstract

Basis data merupakan mata pelajaran produktif di SMK jurusan Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) sehingga menjadi perhatian di SMK, namun masih terdapat siswa sebanyak 80% yang tidak lulus KKM. Perlu diadakannya proses pembelajaran yang baik agar hasil belajar yang didapatkan baik pula. Pembelajaran di SMK membutuhkan treatment yang lebih baik agar siswa dapat memahami materi pelajaran yang disampaikan guru. Dengan latar belakang tersebut, peneliti menerapkan suatu model pembelajaran yaitu model pembelajaran Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) berbantukan multimedia untuk meningkatkan pemahaman basis data siswa SMK. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental dengan desain Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel yang digunakan terdiri 60 siswa kelas XI RPL 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI RPL 1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Dari penelitian yang sudah dilakukan, peneliti memperoleh hasil gain sebesar 0,67 untuk kelas eksperimen dan 0,43 untuk kelas kontrol. Gain kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan gain kelas kontrol, sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat peningkatan pemahaman lebih tinggi pada kelas eksperimen. Selain itu, dari hasil angket respon siswa terhadap multimedia, diperoleh hasil sebesar 79,08% siswa memberikan respon positif. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Meaningful Instructional Design berbantu multimedia dapat meningkatkan pemahaman basis data siswa SMK. The database is productive in vocational subjects majoring in Software Engineering Vocational High School (SMK) that concern in vocational, but there are still as many as 80% of students who did not pass the KKM. Need holding good learning process for the results obtained studying well too. Learning SMK require treatment that is better for students to understand the subject matter presented teachers. With this background, the researchers applied a model of the model of learning Meaningful learning Instructional Design (MID) berbantukan multimedia database to improve understanding of vocational students. The method used was Quasi Experimental design with Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Sample consisted of 60 students of class XI RPL 2 as an experimental class and XI RPL 1 as the control class. From the research that has been done, researchers obtained results gain of 0.67 to 0.43 for the experimental class and control class. Gain experimental class higher than the class gain control, so it can be concluded there is an increased understanding of the higher in the experimental class. In addition, the results of the questionnaire responses of students to multimedia, the result amounted to 79.08% of the students gave positive responses. Thus, the model-assisted learning Instructional Design Meaningful multimedia can improve the database understanding of vocational students.
