Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar masih menjadi masalah dalam dunia pendidikan, terutama pada ranah kognitif. Salah satu SMA Negeri di Indramayu pada mata pelajaran Geografi ditemukan permasalahan, yaitu masih rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik terutama pada ranah kognitif. Di kelas X dari empat kelas, semua kelas tersebut masih memperoleh nilai ujian tenngah semester dibawah KKM. Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu perlakuan agar hasil belajar bisa mengalami peningkatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan keberhasilan dari model pembelajaran problem based learning dengan model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental design dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Perolehan data dilakukan dengan tes ranah kognitif (pretest dan posttest), serta lembar observasi untuk melihat keterlaksaan pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik uji normalitas, homogenitas dan uji T dengan bantuan SPSS Statistic 21. Selain itu penelitian ini menganalisis peningkatan ranah kognitif peserta didik, serta menganalisis keberhasilan model pembelajaran problem based learning dan model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata nilai pretest pada model pembelajaran problem based learning sebesar 38,3 sedangkan posttest sebesar 66,9. Pada model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat diperoleh nilai pretest sebesar 38,2 dan posttest sebesar 64,0. Dari hasil tersebut terlihat bahawa kedua model dapat meningkatkan ranah kognitif peserta didik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran problem based learning dan model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat sama-sama berhasil meningkatkan ranah kognitif peserta didik di SMAN 1 Kroya. Akan tetapi Model pembelajaran problem based learning lebih berhasil meningkatkan ranah kognitif peserta didik dibandingkan dengan model sains teknologi masyarakat.---------- The low of result study still be a problem in education world, especially in cognitive aspect. The state of Senior High School in Indramayu at geographic lesson is found the problem that is the low of result study of students especially in cognitive aspect. In tenth grade from four classes, all of the classes still get score of mid semester under the minimum score criteria. Because of that, it need an action in order to the result study can be improve. This research aims to see differences from learning model problem based learning with learning models of science technology society. The method that is used in this research is quasi experimental design with research design nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. To get the data is done with cognitive test (pretest and posttest), and also observation sheets to see learning activity. Technique of analyzing the data use statistic test normalize, homogeny and test T with helping of SPSS Statistic 21. Besides that, this research analyzes enhance cognitive students, and analyze successful of learning model problem based learning and learning model science technology society. The result of research shows that the average score of pretest in Problem based learning model is 38.3 meanwhile in posttest is 66.9. In science technology society model get pretest is 38.2 and posttest is 64.0. From the result it seen that both of model can improve cognitive aspect of students. The conclusion from this research is learning model problem based learning and learning model science technology society are successful to improve students cognitive in State Senior High School 1 of Kroya. Meanwhile Learning model of problem based learning is more successful to improve students cognitive better than Science technology society model.
