Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah penerapan strategi example non example berbasis media audio visual dalam pembelajaran berbicara bahasa Perancis; (2) mendeskripsikan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Perancis mahasiswa setelah menggunakan strategi example non example berbasis media audio visual; dan (3) memperoleh data mengenai kelebihan dan kekurangan strategi example non example berbasis media audio visual dalam pembelajaran berbicara bahasa Perancis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode praeksperimental dengan desain one shot case study. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester II Departmen Pendidikan Bahasa Perancis FPBS UPI dan sampel yang digunakan adalah mahasiswa kelas A yang berjumlah 20 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, tahapan-tahapan yang dilakukan dalam penerapan strategi example non example berbasis media audio visual adalah : 1) Menjelaskan materi pembelajaran berbicara dengan tema décrire le passé; 2) Mengenalkan dan menjelaskan strategi example non example kepada mahasiswa; 3) Memberikan contoh penggunaan strategi example non example dengan media audio visual pada papan tulis 4) Membagi mahasiswa ke dalam 5 kelompok; 5) Menayangkan video les vacances d’adrian (media audio visual); 6) Meminta mahasiswa berdiskusi dengan kelompoknya untuk mendeskripsikan cerita dan mengembangkan cerita dalam video tersebut menggunakan strategi example non example; 7) Meminta setiap kelompok maju ke depan untuk praktik berbicara. Selanjutnya, berdasarkan hasil analisis data, nilai rata-rata tes yang diperoleh mahasiswa adalah 7,2 atau 72,25% yang jika dikonversikan ke dalam tabel penentuan patokan dengan perhitungan persentase untuk skala sepuluh didapatkan nilai 7, artinya bahwa kemampuan berbicara bahasa Perancis mahasiswa setelah melalui tahap perlakuan (treatment) berada dalam kategori cukup. Kemudian, dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, kelebihan strategi example non example berbasis media audio visual yaitu, dapat memotivasi mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran berbicara karena menarik dan dapat merangsang imajinasi serta kreativitas mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran berbicara bahasa Perancis.Sedangkan kekurangannya adalah dalam pelaksanaannya membutuhkan durasi waktu pembelajaran yang lama dan suasana kelas menjadi tidak kondusif pada saat berlangsungnya pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Example non example, Audio Visual, Pembelajaran Berbicara Bahasa Perancis. The research study aims to : (1) Describe the implementation steps of example non example strategy based on audio-visual media of speaking learning in french (2) Describe the competence of students after using example non example strategy based on audio-visual media (3) Obtaining the result of using the strategy example non example for knowing what is the advantage and the disadvantage it self. Beside that, the researcher is also usingpra-experimentalas the methode with one shot case study as the design of research it self. The population of this research are the students in the 2nd semester Departement of French Language Education, Faculty Of Language and Litterrature Education, UPI, which contains of 20 students as the sample. Based on the result of this research is showing the steps of the implementation example non example strategy based on audio-visual media are: 1) Explaining the material of speaking with the theme décrire le passé; 2) Explaining how to using the strategy example non example to the students; 3) Giving an example to the students how to using the strategyexample non example with audio-visual media in front ofclass by using white board 4) Divided the students into five groups; 5) Showing a video les vacances d’adrian to the student as the audio-visua media; 6) Ask the students to discuss with the group for describing and developing the story in the video by using example non example strategy; 7) Asking for each to come forward to practice speaking. After that, based on the data analyse, the students got 7,2 or it’s 72,25% as the average value, if we calculating the value in the scale of ten, then we got 7 as the result, it means the students competence in speaking are sufficient. Furthermore, the impact of the utilisation example non example strategy with audio-visual media can motivate and giving the stimulate for their imagination which can make them to speak up. While disadvantage of it self is need a more time on the process and it can make the students being uncontrolled in the class. Keywords: Example non example, Audio-Visual, Learning French Speaking
