    Abstract

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keterampilan sosial dalam Teaching Game for Understanding (TGfU) pada permainan bola tangan. Keterampilan sosial merupakan kemampuan seseorang untuk berinteraksi individu antar individu dan dari individu ke kelompok, untuk penilaian keterampilan sosial dalam penelitian ini mempunyai 4 faktor yang diantaranya enviromental behavior, interpersonal behavior, self-related behavior, task-related behavior. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah survey yaitu suatu teknik pengembilan data dengan cara observasi yang melihat dampak sosial dalam situasi dan kondisi tertentu. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 1 Lembang dengan objek penelitian yaitu kelas XI IIS 1 yang berjumlah 26 siswa menunjukan hasil bahwa siswa hampir selalu memperlihatkan keterampilan sosial yang dilihat dari empat aspek penilaian. Dari keempat aspek tersebut menunjukan nilai rata-rata 16 dari nilai maksimal 20 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa hampir selalu melakukan keterampilan sosial maka dapat di asumsikan pendekatan Teaching Game for Understanding (TGfU) dalam dalam pemebelajaran bola tangan berhasil diterapkan dalam pendidkan jasmani.
    The research is aimed at investigating the social skill of teaching game for understanding (TGfU) to playing handball. Social skill is someone’s ability to interact with other individual and interact with grup. To assess the social skill in this research, there are four following factors: enviromental behavior, interpersonal behavior, self-related behavior and task-related behavior. the research employed the survey method which gathered the data by observation. The data were gained by noticing the social effect in certain situation and conditation this research was conducted at SMAN 1 Lembang. The research subject was XI IIS 1 with 26 students. The result form the participants show that the student nearly always show their social skill represented by performed the social skill. Thus, the assumption of teaching game for understanding (TGfU) approach in learning handball is considered successful when being applied in physical education.
