Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pentingnya mutu pendidikan di setiap jenjang pendidikan secara terencana, terarah dan berkesinambungan. Hasil tes PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) telah menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi matematis siswa masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) mengetahui sejauh apa tingkat kemampuan literasi matematis siswa SMP yang mengikuti uji coba soal PISA; 2) mengetahui sejauh apa pencapaian kemampuan literasi matematis siswa SMP klaster 1, klaster 2, dan klaster 3 berdasarkan level penilaian PISA; 3) mengetahui sejauh apa pencapaian kemampuan literasi matematis siswa SMP klaster 1, klaster 2, dan klaster 3 berdasarkan komponen konteks, konten dan kompetensi pada penilaian PISA. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian model survey cross-sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP dari masing-masing klaster, dengan sampel sebanyak tiga kelas yang mewakili masing-masing klaster. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah soal-soal PISA. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah: 1) rata-rata tingkat pencapaian kemampuan literasi matematis siswa adalah 58,9%; 2) persentase pencapaian kemampuan literasi matematis siswa SMP klaster 1 lebih tinggi daripada dua klaster lainnya pada setiap level dengan perbedaan yang cukup signifikan kecuali pada level 5; 3) persentase pencapaian kemampuan literasi matematis siswa SMP klaster 1 lebih tinggi daripada dua klaster lainnya berdasarkan komponen konteks, konten dan kompetensi pada penilaian PISA. education in a planned, directly and continuously. The purposes of this study were: 1) to determine the extent to which the level of mathematical literacy ability of junior high school students who followed the PISA test; 2) to determine the extent of mathematical literacy ability of junior high school students in first, second and third cluster based on the level of PISA’s assessment ; 3) to determine the extent of mathematical literacy ability of junior high school students in first, second and third cluster based on PISA’s components such as context, content and competency. This study uses cross-sectioanl survey research models. The population in this study is all junior high school students from each cluster, with a sample of three classes that represent each cluster. The instruments used in this study are the questions of PISA. The conclusions of this study were: 1) the average of achievement of mathematical literacy ability of junior high school students who followed the PISA test is 58,9%, 2) the percentage of achievement of mathematical literacy ability ability of junior high school students in first cluster is higher than the other two at each level with a sigificant difference except at fifth level; 3) the percentage of achievement of mathematical literacy ability of junior high school students in first cluster is higher than the other two based on PISA’s components such as context, content and competency.
