Abstract

Pada penelitian ini yang menjadi masalah kajian adalah mengenai promosi perpustakaan, alasan peneliti mengkaji tentang promosi perpustakaan di Perpustakaan PUSDAI yaitu karena jamaah masjid atau masyarakat belum optimal dalam memanfaatkan bahan perpustakaan. Pokok masalah yang diungkap dalam penelitian ini adalah hubungan antara promosi perpustakaan dengan pemanfaatan bahan perpustakaan. Variabel pada penelitian ini yaitu promosi perpustakaan ( X ) dan pemanfaatan bahan perpustakaan ( Y ). Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah pengunjung Perpustakaan PUSDAI yang berjumlah 100 orang. Sampel yang diambil berjumlah 50 orang berdasarkan rumus Slovin. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data untuk menjawab rumusan masalah penelitian adalah angket, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Data primer penelitian ini yaitu kuesioner (angket) dan dokumentasi, sedangkan data sekunder yaitu wawancara. Kuesioner (angket) menggunakan skala Guttman dan angket campuran dengan checklist. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa urutan tertinggi promosi perpustakaan di Perpustakaan PUSDAI yaitu melalui personal selling (teman/saudara/sahabat), buletin PUSDAI, dan brosur perpustakaan. Adapun pemanfaatan bahan perpustakaan di Perpustakaan PUSDAI berdasarkan hasil penelitian yaitu pengunjung memanfaatkan bahan perpustakaan untuk menambah informasi, dan suasana di Perpustakaan PUSDAI nyaman untuk membaca. Hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara promosi perpustakaan dengan pemanfaatan bahan perpustakaan.
The problem of the study is promotion of the library. the researcher investigated about promotion of libraries in the PUSDAI library becouse the mosque visitors or community is not optimal in library ingredient utilization. principal of the problem in this study is relationship between utilization promotion with library ingredient. the variable in this study is promotion of the library (X) and utilization of library ingredient (Y). the population in this study is PUSDAI library visitors totaling 100 peoples. samples were taken totaling 50 peoples based on Solvin formula. the method which is in this study is used deskriptive study with a quantitative approach. data collection techniques to answer the problem formulation research is a questionnaire, documentation, and interviews. the primary data of this study is a questionnaire and documentation, while the secondary data is interview. questionnaire using a Guttman scale and the mix of questionnaire with a checklist. based on the results of the study showed that the highest order promotion of PUSDAI library is through Personal Selling (friend/relatives/best friend), PUSDAI newsletter, and brochures library. utilization of the library ingredient in PUSDAI library based on the results of research that visitors utilizing of library ingredient to add information, and situation in the library PUSDAI comfortable to read. the results calculation of the hypothesis test shows that there is a positive relationship between library promotion with utilization of library ingredient.
