    Abstract

    Penelitian ini menjelaskan mengenai implementasi penggunaan media pembelajaran berupa word card, dalam mengembangkan kemampuan dasar bahasa Inggris anak di lembaga Pendidikan RA Hikmatul Wutsqa. Jenjang pendidikan yang menekankan penggunaan dua bahasa dalam percakapan saat proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Informan penelitian ini terdiri dari dua guru, adapun fokus penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tahapan implementasi media word card dan mengetahui respon anak dalam penggunaan media word card. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan observasi, dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan adanya tantangan kesulitan menarik perhatian untuk pembiasaan bahasa inggris sebelum tahap implementasi. Dan menghasilkan respon baik dari anak saat penggunaan media word card, serta terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak mengalami perubaha, karena proses pembelajaran membutuhkan media sebagai alat bantu belajar. Kata Kunci: word card, perkembangan bahasa, bilingual This study describes the implementation of word cards as a learning medium to develop children's basic English language skills at the RA Hikmatul Wutsqa educational institution. This educational level emphasizes the use of two languages ​​in conversation during the learning process at school. The informants for this study consisted of two teachers. The focus of this study was to determine the stages of word card implementation and to assess children's responses to their use. This study employed a qualitative method using a case study approach. Data collection techniques included observation and interviews. Data analysis employed thematic analysis. The results indicated challenges in attracting attention and familiarizing children with English prior to the implementation stage. This resulted in positive responses from children when using word cards, and changes in children's language development occurred because the learning process requires media as a learning aid.
