Abstract

Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Arsitektur di FPTI UPI memiliki misi mencetak tenaga pendidik profesional dalam bidang arsitektur. Proses perancangan arsitektur merupakan inti pembelajaran dalam pendidikan arsitektur, terutama melalui mata kuliah studio perancangan. Namun, dalam pelaksanaannya, mahasiswa sering menghadapi berbagai tantangan, baik yang berasal dari faktor internal maupun eksternal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Arsitektur UPI terhadap hambatan internal dan eksternal dalam proses perancangan arsitektur pada mata kuliah studio perancangan arsitektur 4. Dalam penelitian ini, aspek-aspek yang dianalisis adalah hambatan internal dan eksternal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode deskriptif. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 118 mahasiswa dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan sampling jenuh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui instrument penelitian angket/kuesioner dengan skala likert 4 pilihan alternatif jawaban. Pengolahan serta analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Teknik statistik deskriptif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) hambatan internal yang paling banyak dirasakan oleh mahasiswa yaitu kecemasan dalam menghadapi tenggat waktu dan presentasi, (2) hambatan eksternal yang paling banyak dirasakan oleh mahasiswa yaitu fasilitas studio yang kurang baik. The Architecture Education Study Program at FPTI UPI has a mission to produce professional educators in the field of architecture. The architectural design process is the core of learning in architecture education, especially through design studio courses. However, in practice, students often face various challenges, both internal and external. This study aims to investigate the perceptions of Architecture Education students at UPI regarding internal and external barriers in the architectural design process within the Architectural Design Studio 4 course. The aspects analyzed in this study are internal and external barriers. The research employs a quantitative approach and descriptive methods. The study population consisted of 118 students, and sampling was conducted using saturated sampling. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire with a 4-point Likert scale. Data processing and analysis were conducted using descriptive statistical techniques. The research findings indicate that: (1) the most commonly felt internal barrier among students is anxiety regarding deadlines and presentations, (2) the most commonly felt external barrier among students is inadequate studio facilities.
