Abstract

Masalah yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah mengenai belum optimalnya kompetensi lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) kota Bandung. Masalah keterserapan lulusan yang masih rendah yang berdampak pada pengangguran di Indonesia merupakan fenomena dari mutu kompetensi lulusan yang belum optimal. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mendapatkan konsep pendidikan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) di Kota Bandung dalam meningkatkan mutu kompetensi lulusan sehingga dapat menghasilkan tenaga kerja yang terampil dari lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) yang berkualitas dan selaras dengan kebutuhan lapangan kerja. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Explanatory Survey Method. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner skala ordinal. Jumlah responden sebanyak 216 orang pendidik, yang diambil secara random dari 33 Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Program Keahlian Bisnis dan Manajemen di Kota Bandung. Teknik pengolahan data menggunakan Path Analysis Models. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan Path Analysis Models, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa berdasarkan model struktur uji hipotesis yang diajukan, semua jalur variabel eksogen yang terdiri atas kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, kinerja mengajar guru dan pengelolaan fasilitas pembelajaran, serta proses pembelajaran terhadap mutu kompetensi lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Program Keahlian Manajemen dan Bisnis, sebagai variabel endogen adalah signifikan. Secara rinci hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berpengaruh kuat, positif, dan signifikan terhadap kinerja mengajar guru dan pengelolaan fasilitas pembelajaran; (2) Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, kinerja mengajar guru dan pengelolaan fasilitas pembelajaran, berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap proses pembelajaran; (3) Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, kinerja mengajar guru dan pengelolaan fasilitas pembelajaran, serta proses pembelajaran, berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap mutu kompetensi lulusan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, rekomendasi yang diajukan yaitu peran kepala sekolah untuk lebih mensejahterakan para tenaga pendidik serta menumbuhkan motovasi dan standar mengajar yang telah disesuaikan dengan kurikulum Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), serta peran guru dalam mengajar dapat didukung dengan memfasilitasi media pembelajaran sehingga memudahkan guru dalam menyampaikan isi pembelajaran dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar di sekolah. The problem studied in this research is about the competence of graduates not optimal Vocational School (SMK) in Bandung. This study is intended to get the concept of education Vocational School (SMK) in Bandung in improving the quality of graduate competence so as to produce a highly skilled workforce of graduates of vocational high school (SMK) qualified and in tune with the needs of employment. The method used in this research is the Explanatory Survey Method. Data collection techniques using an ordinal scale questionnaire. The number of respondents was 216 educators, taken at random from the 33 Vocational School of Business and Management Skills Program in Bandung. Data processing techniques using Path Analysis Models. Based on calculations using Path Analysis Models, it is concluded that the structure of the model is based on the hypothesis testing, all the exogenous pathway consisting of principal leadership, performance management of teachers' teaching and learning facilities, as well as the learning process of the quality of graduate competency Vocational School Program Business and management expertise, as the endogenous variable is significant. The detailed results of this study indicate that: (1) the principal's leadership influence is strong, positive, and significant impact on the performance of teachers teaching and learning facilities management; (2) the principal leadership, teacher's teaching performance and management of learning facilities, and a significant positive effect on the learning process; (3) the principal leadership, teacher's teaching performance and management of learning facilities, as well as the learning process, and a significant positive effect on the quality of graduates' competence. Based on the research results, the proposed recommendation that the principal role for the welfare and foster motovasi educators and teaching standards that have been tailored to the curriculum of Vocational School (SMK), and the role of the teacher in teaching can be supported by the media to facilitate learning that allows teachers to deliver learning content in teaching and learning in school
