Abstract
Climate change is a global challenge that needs to be addressed immediately because it affects all aspects of life. SDG 13, climate action, calls for concrete action through education. Understanding climate change requires systems thinking skills, enabling students to see the connections between causes, impacts, and solutions in a holistic manner. However, the availability of ESD-based educational materials designed to develop these skills remains limited, resulting in fragmented student understanding. This study aims to develop ESD-based climate change educational materials to enhance elementary school students' systems thinking abilities. The method used is the ADDIE model: curriculum analysis and systematic thinking skills, prototype instructional material design, instructional material development, instructional material implementation, and evaluation. The techniques and instruments used include tests and expert validation through questionnaires. The research was conducted on elementary school students in phase C. The validation results showed that the teaching materials were highly suitable for use and achieved high effectiveness scores. These teaching materials can be used to enhance students' systematic thinking skills in understanding climate change.
