Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran servant leadership kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa di SDN Wanasuka. Rumusan masalah mencakup: (a) penerapan prinsip-prinsip servant leadership oleh kepala sekolah, (b) faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam penerapannya, serta (c) dampaknya terhadap prestasi siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kepala sekolah telah menerapkan nilai-nilai servant leadership, seperti empati, healing, awareness, persuasion, conceptualization, dan stewardship. Penerapan ini didukung oleh komitmen kepemimpinan, hubungan harmonis antarwarga sekolah, serta dukungan guru, siswa, dan orang tua. Hambatan yang muncul antara lain keterbatasan sarana prasarana dan perbedaan karakter individu. Implementasi servant leadership berdampak positif terhadap prestasi siswa, baik akademik maupun non-akademik, karena menciptakan iklim sekolah yang kondusif, partisipatif, dan mendorong pengembangan potensi siswa.Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa servant leadership merupakan gaya kepemimpinan yang relevan bagi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dan meningkatkan prestasi siswa di sekolah dasar. ----------- This study aims to analyze the role of the principal’s servant leadership in improving student achievement at SDN Wanasuka. The research addresses three main issues: (a) the application of servant leadership principles by the principal, (b) supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation, and (c) the impact of servant leadership on student achievement. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the principal has implemented servant leadership values such as empathy, healing, awareness, persuasion, conceptualization, and stewardship. This implementation is supported by leadership commitment, harmonious relationships among school members, and support from teachers, students, and parents. The challenges encountered include limited facilities and differences in individual characteristics. The application of servant leadership has had a positive impact on student achievement, both academic and non-academic, by creating a conducive and participatory school climate that fosters the development of students’ potential. This study demonstrates that servant leadership is a relevant leadership style for principals in enhancing education quality and improving student achievement in elementary schools.
