Abstract

Bandung Drums Day (BDD) merupakan pertunjukan musik drum terbesar di Indonesia yang diselenggarakan setiap tahun sejak 2010 dengan memasukan nilai edukasi di setiap materi penyelenggaraannya. Acara tersebut dikelola oleh komunitas pecinta drum Kota Bandung yang bukan merupakan event organizer profesional. Hal itulah yang menjadi latar belakang untuk meneliti: Manajememen Edutainment Bandung Drums Day Tahun 2013. Berdasarkan pendapat Josef Trna sebagai landasan teori edutainment, penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukan bahwa pengorganisasian BDD dibentuk setelah menentukan materi pertunjukan, perencanaan penyelenggaraan BDD 2013 dikembangkan dari materi penyelenggaraan BDD sejak 2010 dan pengendalian BDD 2013 dilakukan secara tiga tahap. Hasil temuan tersebut diharapkan berimplikasi terhadap bidang pendidikan, peneliti lanjutan, komunitas dan apresiator seni.
Bandung Drums Day (BDD) is the biggest drums event in Indonesia, which has been hold annually since 2010, and combined with educative performances. This event is organized by a drums community in Bandung, who is not recognized as a pro event organizer. This leads to do research of: Management of Edutainment Bandung Drums Day 2013. According to Josef Trna as edutainment theoretical basis, this research uses the case study method with qualitative approach. The result of research shows that BDD 2013 organization was formed after deciding performance programs, BDD 2013 was developed from the earlier BDDs, and BDD 2013 event control happened in three steps. This result is expected to imply for education, further research, community and art appreciator.
