    Abstract

    Karakter menjadi bagian terpenting yang harus dimiliki dalam diri setiap orang sehingga perlu adanya internalisasi nilai sejak dini. Penguasaan teori pembelajaran sosial menjadi salah satu pondasi yang wajib dimiliki oleh setiap peserta didik agar dapat melakukan internalisasi nilai secara mandiri kedepannya tanpa adanya bimbingan dari guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas Value Clarification Technique dalam upaya penanaman tujuh karakter siwa SMP Alfa Centauri. Tujuh karakter tersebut meliputi jujur, rapi dan bersih, disiplin, sopan dan santun, mandiri, tangguh, dan bermanfaat. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain equivalent time-series design. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada kelas VIII E SMP Alfa Centauri tahun ajaran 2023-2024. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket pretest dan posttest untuk melihat pemahaman siswa terhadap penerapan tujuh karakter siswa SMP Alfa Centauri serta lembar observasi untuk menilai penerapan nilai oleh siswa secara langsung. Data penelitian diolah berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest sampel di dalam kelas yang kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak IBM Statistical Product and Service Solution (IBM SPSS) 26 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Value Clarification Technique berpengaruh dengan signifikansi rendah terhadap penanaman tujuh karakter peserta ddik SMP Alfa Centauri. Berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest, pemahaman dan penerapan karakter siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 6.9524 dari 112.5714 hingga 119.5238 setelah diterapkannya model pembelaaran Value Clarification Technique. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas VIII E mengalami peningkatan. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian ini ialah mengimplementasikan teknik ini dalam jangka waktu yang lebih panjang untuk memperoleh hasil yang lebih baik untuk kemajuan pendidikan. Mastery of social learning theory is one of the foundations that students must have in order to be able to internalize values independently in the future without any guidance from the teacher. This research aims to see the effectiveness of the Value Clarification Technique in cultivating the seven characters of Alfa Centauri Middle School students. The seven characters include honest, neat and clean, disciplined, polite and courteous, independent, tough and useful. The research method used by researchers is quasi-experimental with a equivalent time-series design. This research was conducted with class VIII E of Alfa Centauri Middle School for the 2023-2024 academic year. The research instruments used were pretest and posttest questionnaires to see students' understanding of the application of the seven characteristics of Alfa Centauri Middle School students as well as observation sheets to assess students' application of values directly. Research data was processed based on the results of pretest and posttest in class which were then analyzed using the IBM Statistical Product and Service Solution (IBM SPSS) 25 for Windows program. The results of the research show that the Value Clarification Technique learning model has a low significant effect on the cultivation of the seven characters of Alfa Centauri Middle School students. Based on the pretest and posttest results, students' understanding and application of character increased by 6.9524 from 112.5714 to 119.5238 after implementing the Value Clarification Technique learning model. These results show that class VIII E students have improved. The recommendation for this study is to implement this technique over a longer period of time to obtain better results
