    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai empati yang diperoleh siswa SMP setelah menonton film bertema inklusivitas dan mengaitkan nilai-nilai yang diperoleh tersebut dalam pengalaman nyata yang telah dialaminya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan desain fenomenologi, setelah menonton film bertema inklusivitas siswa mendeskripsikan berbagai jenis pengalaman pemahaman empati yang dialami siswa sekolah menengah pertama untuk mengetahui pengalaman emosional yang dialami siswa sekolah menengah pertama. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah tiga siswa kelas tujuh yang menunjukkan respon ekspresi empati. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai empati yang diperoleh adalah kepedulian, merasakan perasaan orang lain, penerimaan terhadap orang lain, pengendalian emosi dan prososial. Nilai-nilai empati tersebut diasosiasikan dalam pengalaman nyata yang telah dialami. Melalui tokoh, karakter dan adegan bertema inklusivitas, film berperan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk menumbuhkan empati. This study aims to identify the empathy values obtained by junior high school students after watching a film with an inclusivity theme and to relate the values obtained to real experiences that they have experienced. This study uses a qualitative approach and phenomenological design, after watching a film with an inclusivity theme, students describe various types of empathy understanding experiences experienced by junior high school students to find out the emotional experiences experienced by junior high school students. Participants in this study were three grade VII students who showed empathy expression responses. The results of the study showed that the empathy values obtained were caring, feeling other people's feelings, accepting others, controlling emotions and being prosocial. These empathy values are associated with real experiences that have been experienced. Through figures, characters and scenes with an inclusivity theme, films act as a learning medium to foster empathy.
