Abstract
Penelitian ini memiliki beberapa tujuan, diantaranya 1) untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI) berbantuan media StoryJumper terhadap keterampilan menulis karangan narasi peserta didik sekolah dasar; 2) mengetahui pengaruh pengaruh model problem based learning terhadap keterampilan menulis karangan narasi peserta didik sekolah dasar; 3) mengetahui mengetahui perbandingan peningkatan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi peserta didik sekolah dasar yang menerapkan model Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI) berbantuan media StoryJumper dengan peserta didik yang menerapkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain quasi experimental nonequivalent control groups design, yaitu berupa desain penelitian eksperimen yang menggunakan dua kelompok tidak dipilih secara acak. Sampel yang akan diambil dari penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas IV C sebagai kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 24 peserta didik dan kelas IV D sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 23 peserta didik. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini memperoleh hasil bahwa model Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI) berbantuan StoryJumper memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis karangan narasi sebesar 68,7% dan pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) memperoleh nilai sebesar 54,9%. Peningkatan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi peserta didik yang menerapkan model Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI) berbantuan media StoryJumper lebih baik dibandingkan dengan peserta didik yang menerapkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). ----- This study has several objectives, including 1) to determine the effect of implementing the Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI) model assisted by StoryJumper media on the narrative writing skills of elementary school students; 2) to determine the effect of the model on the narrative writing skills of elementary school students; 3) to determine the comparison of the increase in narrative writing skills of elementary school students who apply the Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI) model assisted by StoryJumper media with students who apply the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The method used is an experiment with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control groups design, which is an experimental research design that uses two groups that are not selected randomly. The sample to be taken from this study is class IV C students as an experimental class totaling 24 students and class IV D as a control class totaling 23 students. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique. This study obtained the results that the Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI) model assisted by StoryJumper had a significant influence on narrative writing skills of 68,7% and the influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model obtained a value of 54.9%. The improvement of narrative writing skills of students who applied the Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI) model assisted by StoryJumper media is better compared to students who applied the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model.
