Abstract
Rendahnya pemahaman konsep Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) di tingkat Sekolah Dasar menunjukkan perlunya strategi pembelajaran inovatif yang dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif siswa. Salah satu solusi yang dapat diterapkan adalah penggunaan model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media Wordwall. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media Wordwall terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA siswa serta membandingkannya dengan model Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD). Penelitian menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas IV SDN Pulogebang 25, yang dibagi menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, masing-masing berjumlah 30 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada nilai rata–rata pemahaman konsep IPA siswa di kelas eksperimen, yakni dari 48,90 menjadi 78,63 sedangkan di kelas kontrol dari 50,97 menjadi 72,07. Penerapan model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media Wordwall juga memberikan pengaruh sebesar 69,3% terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media Wordwall memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA Siswa kelas IV dan lebih baik dibandingkan pembelajaran dengan model Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD). ----- The low level of conceptual understanding in Science (IPA) among elementary school students highlights the need for innovative learning strategies that can enhance active student engagement. An alternative instructional approach that shows promise is the use of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model supported by Wordwall media. The purpose of this research is to explore how the integration of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) approach with Wordwall media influences students’ understanding of science concepts, and to evaluate its level of effectiveness in comparison to the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model. This study applied a quasi-experimental approach using a design that did not involve randomly assigned control groups. The research was conducted at SDN Pulogebang 25 and included fourth-grade students as participants. The learners were grouped into two distinct classes: one receiving the treatment and the other serving as the comparison group, with 30 students in each. Data collection involved pretests and posttests, observations, and documentation. The findings revealed a notable improvement in the average science concept understanding scores in the experimental group, rising from 48.90 to 78.63, while the control group's scores increased from 50.97 to 72.07. The implementation of the TGT model supported by Wordwall contributed 69.3% to the enhancement of students’ conceptual understanding. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the TGT model with Wordwall media has a positive effect on fourth-grade students’ science concept comprehension and demonstrates greater effectiveness compared to the STAD model.
