Abstract
Penelitian ini difokuskan pada upaya mengatasi masalah kurangnya kemampuan berpikir siswa yang masih rendah.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis sejauh mana pengaruh model kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament berbantuan media educaplay terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS. Metode yang digunakan quasi eksperimen dengan design nonequivalent control group
pretest postest design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas 9.3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 9.2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS di kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament berbantuan media educaplay dengan di kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model kooperatif tipe Group Investigation. Perbedaan tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil skor pre-test dan post-test kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang didalamnya memuat indikator berpikir kritis diantaranya memberikan penjelasan sederhana, membangun kemampuan dasar, menyimpulkan, membuat penjelasan lanjut, strategi dan taktik. Terutama pada indikator menyimpulkan yang memiliki presentase lebih tinggi yaitu siswa dapat menentukan dampak yang timbul dalam perdagangan internasional. Dampak penelitian ini memberikan informasi kepada guru bahwa berpikir kritis siswa merupakan aspek yang penting dalam pembelajaran khususnya di abad 21.
This research is focused on efforts to overcome the problem of students' lack of thinking ability that is still low. The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent of the influence of the Team Games Tournament-type cooperative model assisted by educaplay media on students' critical thinking skills in social studies learning. The method used was quasi-experimental with a design nonequivalent control group pretest postest design. This research was carried out in class 9.3 as an experimental class and 9.2 as a control
class. The results showed that there was a significant difference between students' critical thinking skills in social studies learning in the experimental class using the Team Games Tournament-type cooperative model assisted by educaplay media and in the control class using the Group Investigation type cooperative model. This difference can be seen from the results of the pre-test and post-test scores of students' critical thinking ability which contains critical thinking indicators including providing simple explanations, building basic skills, concluding, making further explanations, strategies and tactics. Especially in the concluding indicators that have a higher percentage, namely students can determine the impact that arises in international
trade. The impact of this research provides information to teachers that students' critical thinking is an important aspect of learning, especially in the 21st century.
