    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris yang dapat meningkatkan kosakata irregular verbs siswa. Variabel penelitian ini terdapat 2 variabel diantaranya: Variabel bebas yaitu penggunaan aplikasi English Irregular Verbs dengan pendekatan EMRED, dan variabel terikat yaitu peningkatan kosakata irregular verbs. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi English Irregular Verb dengan pendekatan EMRED terhadap peningkatan kosakata irregular verbs siswa kelas VI SDN Sunter Jaya 07. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Peneliti menggunakan quasi experiment non equivalent pretest - posttest control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik non probability sampling, dengan jenis sampel jenuh yang terdiri dari dua kelompok yaitu eksperimen dan kontrol yang setiap kelasnya berjumlah 30 orang siswa. Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil rata-rata post-testpada kelas eksperimen sebesar 86,83 dan mendapatkan hasil rata-rata kelas kontrol sebesar 81,17. Hasil uji hipotesis memperoleh nilai Asymp. Sig. 0,000 < 0,05 artinya H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Perhitungan uji N-Gain persen memperoleh hasil sebesar 58,50% di kelas eksperimen yang tergolong cukup efektif, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol memperoleh 35,38% yang tergolong tidak efektif. Angket siswa mendapatkan hasil rata-rata sebesar 84,2% dengan kategori sangat baik menggunakan aplikasi English Irregular Verbs dengan pendekatan EMRED. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan keseluruhan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi English Irregular Verbs dengan pendekatan EMRED lebih efektif dalam peningkatan kosakata irregular verbs siswa dibandingkan hanya menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional dengan metode ceramah pada siswa kelas VI di SDN Sunter Jaya 07. This research is motivated by the lack of media use in English learning that can improve students' understanding of irregular verbs. There are 2 variables in this research, including: The independent variable is the use of the English Irregular Verbs application with the EMRED approach, and the dependent variable is the increase in irregular verb vocabulary. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of using the English Irregular Verb application with the EMRED approach on increasing the irregular verb vocabulary of grade VI students at SDN Sunter Jaya 07. The method used in this study is quantitative with an experimental research type. The researcher used a quasi-experimental non-equivalent pretest - posttest control group design. The sampling technique in this study used a nonprobability sampling technique, with a saturated sample type consisting of two groups, namely the experimental and control groups, each class consisting of 30 students. This study obtained an average post-test result in the experimental class of 86.83 and an average control class result of 81.17. The results of the hypothesis test obtained an Asymp. sign value. 0.000 <0.05, meaning H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The calculation of the N-Gain percent obtained a result of 58.50% in the experimental class which was classified as quite effective, while in the control class it obtained 35.38% which was classified as ineffective. The student questionnaire obtained an average result of 84.2% with a very good category using the English Irregular Verbs application with the EMRED approach. Based on the overall calculation results, it can be concluded that the use of the English Irregular Verbs application with the EMRED approach is more effective in improving students's irregular verb vocabulary compared to only using conventional learning with the lecture method for grade VI students at SDN Sunter Jaya 07.
