Abstract
Stres merupakan hal yang tidak dapat dihindari dari kehidupan masa remaja yang penuh dengan perubahan. Coping stress dapat membantu peserta didik menghadapi dan menyelesaikan stres yang dialaminya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kecenderungan coping stress pada peserta didik yang paling sering digunakan untuk mengurangi stres serta implikasinya bagi layanan bimbingan kelompok di SMP. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan kuantitatif dengan metode survei dan desain cross sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 281 peserta didik kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Bandung tahun Ajaran 2024/2025 melalui teknik pengambilan sampel non probability sampling dengan jenis sampel jenuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan profil coping stress peserta didik kelas IX di SMP Negeri 3 Bandung cenderung pada jenis emotional focused coping. Layanan bimbingan kelompok dirancang untuk mengembangkan dan meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam mengelola stres. Teknik yang digunakan dalam bimbingan kelompok adalah group exercise, metode group exercise mendorong peserta didik untuk terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan. Peneliti merekomendasikan guru Bimbingan dan Konseling untuk menerapkan program bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik group exercise sebagai cara efektif untuk membantu peserta didik mengembangkan keterampilan coping stress yang lebih adaptif. Stress is an inevitable part of adolescence that is full of changes. Coping Stress strategy can help students manage and resolve the stress they experience. The aim of this study is to identify the types of stress coping strategies most frequently used by students to reduce stress, and to explore their implications for group guidance services in junior high school. This study used quantitative approach with survey method and cross-sectional design. The study sample consisted of 281 grade IX students from SMP Negeri 3 Bandung in the 2024/2025 academic year, selected using nonprobability sampling technique with saturation sampling method. The results showed that the coping stress profile of grade IX students at SMP Negeri 3 Bandung tended to lean towards emotionalfocused coping strategies. Group counseling services were designed to develop and enhance students' ability to manage stress. The technique used in group counseling was group exercises, which encourage students to actively engage in activities. The writer recommends that guidance and counseling teachers implement group counseling programs using group exercises as an effective way to help students develop more adaptive use of coping stress skills.
