    Abstract

    Pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam pembentukan karakter. Namun, berbagai masalah karakter di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar menunjukkan adanya tantangan besar dalam internalisasi pendidikan karakter. Sekolah dapat membentuk karakter siswa dengan memperkenalkan program-program yang dirancang untuk menanamkan pendidikan karakter. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui internalisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam ekstrakurikuler pembelajaran Al-Quran dengan menggunakan Metode Ummi di SDN Jatimurni III. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif melalui metode studi kasus. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 34 siswa kelas III dan IV yang terlibat dalam ekstrakurikuler pembelajaran Al-Quran dengan Metode Ummi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan kuesioner. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu, proses pelaksanaan ekstrakurikuler pembelajaran Al-Quran Metode Ummi terdiri dari 4 kegiatan, yaitu kegiatan pembuka, kegiatan inti, kegiatan penutup yang terdiri dari 7 tahapan pada setiap pertemuannya, kegiatan terakhir yaitu pembelajaran wudhu dan sholat yang dilaksanakan satu bulan sekali. Dalam ekstrakurikuler pembelajaran Al-Quran Metode Ummi ada 11 nilai karakter yang muncul pada diri siswa, yaitu: religius, mandiri, kerja keras, jujur, disiplin, rasa ingin tahu, bersahabat/komunikatif, gemar membaca, peduli sosial, peduli lingkungan, dan bertanggung jawab. Terdapat dampak yang signifikan dalam internalisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yaitu sebesar 96 persen jawaban tepat dan 4 persen jawaban tidak tepat. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrakurikuler pembelajaran Al-Quran dengan Metode Ummi memberikan kontribusi positif dalam menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter kepada peserta didik. Education has an important role in character building. However, various character problems among elementary school students indicate a big challenge in internalizing character education. Schools can shape student character by introducing programs designed to instill character education. The aim of this study is to use the Ummi method at SDN Jatimurni III to ascertain how character education values are internalized in extracurricular Qur'anic studies. This study employs a case study methodology in conjunction with a qualitative approach. The study's primary participants were 34 students in grades III and IV who took part in extracurricular Al-Quran instruction utilizing the Ummi method. Data was gathered through observation, interviews, documentation studies, and questionnaires. The results of this study are, the process of implementing extracurricular learning of the Ummi method of Qur'an consists of 4 activities, namely opening activities, core activities, closing activities consisting of 7 stages at each meeting, the last activity is learning ablution and prayer which is carried out once a month. In the extracurricular learning of Al-Quran Ummi method, there are 11 character values that appear in students, namely: religious, independent, hard work, honesty, discipline, curiosity, friendly/communicative, love to read, social care, environmental care, and responsibility. There is a significant impact in the internalization of character education values, namely 96 percent of correct answers and 4 percent of incorrect answers. This demonstrates that students' internalization of character education values is positively impacted by their extracurricular study of the Qur'an using the Ummi method.
