Abstract
Kurangnya sikap nasionalisme dalam diri generasi muda menjadi sebuah permasalahan yang harus diatasi. Salah satu pengaruh menurunnya sikap nasionalisme saat ini ialah kurang bijaknya seseorang dalam menggunakan teknologi di era globalisasi. Internet yang dapat menampilkan gaya hidup budaya luar, membuat para remaja lebih banyak mengkonsumsi trend budaya dan mengikuti gaya hidup budaya luar yang terkadang tidak sesuai dengan nilai yang dianut di Indonesia. Dengan demikian, tujuan dari penelitian ini berupaya menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan media digital terhadap pengembangan sikap nasionalisme peserta didik melalui pembelajaran IPS berwawasan kebangsaan. Kelas eksperimen (VIII-2) diberikan perlakuan penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis digital sementara kelas kontrol (VIII-3) diberikan perlakuan penggunaan media pembelajaran cetak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan menganalisis skor hasil pre-test dan post-test. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa skor sikap nasionalisme peserta didik di kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Hasil uji independent sample t-test memperoleh nilai 0,048 < 0,05, maka terdapat perbedaan sikap nasionalisme peserta didik antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Selain itu, hasil uji N-Gain, nilai yang diperoleh lebih dari 1, sehingga pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis digital dalam pembelajaran IPS dinilai lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan sikap nasionalisme daripada penggunaan media cetak. Peningkatan tersebut diperoleh dari skor angket yang didalamnya terdapat indikator sikap nasionalisme, yakni sikap patriotik, rela berkorban, persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa, serta sikap tenggang rasa “Tepa Salira”. Peningkatan skor tertinggi terdapat pada indikator sikap patriotik, yaitu sebesar 133 di kelas eksperimen dan 65 di kelas kontrol, dan peningkatan skor terendah terdapat pada indikator sikap rela berkorban sebesar 77 pada kelas eksperimen dan sikap persatuan & kesatuan sebesar 0 pada kelas kontrol.
The lack of nationalism in the younger generation is a problem that must be overcome. One of the influences of the current decline in nationalism is the unwise use of technology in the era of globalization. The internet, which can display foreign cultural lifestyles, makes teenagers consume more cultural trends and follow foreign cultural lifestyles that are sometimes not in accordance with the values adopted in Indonesia. Thus, the purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the use of digital media on the development of students' nationalism attitudes through national-oriented social studies learning. The experimental class (VIII-2) was given the treatment of using digital-based learning media while the control class (VIII-3) was given the treatment of using printed learning media. This study uses a quasi-experimental method by analyzing the scores of the pre-test and post-test results. The results of this study indicate that the scores of students' nationalism attitudes in the experimental class are higher than those in the control class. The results of the independent sample t-test obtained a value of 0.048 <0.05, so there is a difference in students' nationalism attitudes between the experimental class and the control class. In addition, the results of the N-Gain test, the value obtained is more than 1, so that learning using digital-based learning media in social studies learning is considered more effective in increasing nationalism attitudes than using print media. The increase was obtained from the questionnaire score which contained indicators of nationalism attitudes, namely patriotic attitudes, willingness to sacrifice, national unity and integrity, and the attitude of tolerance "Tepa Salira". The highest increase was in the patriotic attitude indicator, which was 133 in the experimental class and 65 in the control class, while the lowest increase was in the indicator of willingness to sacrifice attitude of 77 in the experimental class and the attitude of unity & integrity of 0 in the control class.
