Abstract
Penelian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh celebrity worship dan self-control terhadap agresivitas verbal pada k-popers usia 15-25 tahun di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dalam menguji pengaruh celebrity worship dan self-control terhadap agresivitas verbal pada k-popers usia 15-25 tahun di Kota Bandung. Responden penelitian ini sebanyak 429 orang yang berusia 15-25 tahun, aktif menjadi penggemar k-pop dan tergabung dalam suatu fandom k-pop, dan berdomisili di Kota Bandung. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah The Aggression Scale yang dikembangkan oleh Buss & Perry (1992) dan diadaptasi oleh Eliani (2018), Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS) yang dikembangkan oleh McCutcheon et al. (2003) yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Afifah (2022), dan Brief Self-Control Scale yang dikembangkan oleh Tangney et al. (2004) yang telah diadaptasi oleh Syarastany (2021). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa celebrity worship dan self-control memiliki pengaruh terhadap agresivitas verbal pada k-popers usia 15-25 tahun di Kota Bandung. This study aims to determine the influence of celebrity worship and self-control on verbal aggressiveness in k-popers aged 15-25 years in Bandung city. This study uses a quantitative approach in testing the influence of celebrity worship and self-control on verbal aggressiveness in k-popers aged 15-25 years in Bandung city. The respondents of this study were 429 people aged 15-25 years, an active k-pop fan and joining a k-pop fandom, and domiciled in Bandung city. The research instruments used in this study were The Aggression Scale developed by Buss & Perry (1992) and has been adapted by Eliani (2018), Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS) developed by McCutcheon et al. (2003) and has been adapted into Indonesian by Afifah (2022), and Brief Self-Control Scale developed by Tangney et al. (2004) which has been adapted by Syarastany (2021). The results showed that celebrity worship and self-control have an influence on verbal aggressiveness in k-popers aged 15-25 years in Bandung city.
