Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menanamkan sikap saling menghargai pada siswa Sekolah Dasar melalui penggunaan media boneka tangan dengan metode bercerita. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif, berfokus pada penerapan dan dampak dari media pembelajaran tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, melibatkan siswa di SD Negeri Serang 20. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan boneka tangan menciptakan suasana belajar yang interaktif, menyenangkan, dan mampu meningkatkan kesadaran siswa terhadap pentingnya sikap saling menghargai. Media ini mempermudah siswa memahami konsep abstrak melalui visualisasi konkret dan interaksi langsung. Selain itu, boneka tangan membantu mengembangkan empati, toleransi, dan kemampuan komunikasi siswa. Hasil observasi juga menunjukkan perubahan positif pada perilaku siswa, seperti lebih mendengarkan guru dan menghormati pendapat teman. Penggunaan media boneka tangan efektif dalam mendukung pembelajaran berbasis karakter. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa boneka tangan dapat menjadi alat yang relevan dan inovatif untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai moral pada siswa sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi guru dalam mengintegrasikan pendidikan karakter ke dalam pembelajaran sehari-hari. This study aims to instill an attitude of mutual respect in elementary school students through the use of hand puppet media with a storytelling method. The study was conducted with a qualitative approach and descriptive method, focusing on the application and impact of the learning media. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving students at SD Negeri Serang 20. The findings show that the use of hand puppets creates an interactive, fun learning atmosphere, and is able to increase students' awareness of the importance of mutual respect. This media makes it easier for students to understand abstract concepts through concrete visualization and direct interaction. In addition, hand puppets help develop students' empathy, tolerance, and communication skills. The results of the observations also showed positive changes in student behavior, such as listening more to teachers and respecting friends' opinions. The use of hand puppet media is effective in supporting character-based learning. This study concludes that hand puppets can be a relevant and innovative tool for instilling moral values in elementary school students. The results of the study are expected to be a reference for teachers in integrating character education into daily learning.
