Abstract

Pentingnya penerapan pendidikan karakter di sekolah yaitu untuk membentuk peserta didik memiliki kepribadian yang baik dan bermoral. Salah satu implementasi pendidikan karakter yang perlu dikembangkan di sekolah adalah karakter religius dan karakter mandiri. Permasalahan pokok dalam penelitian ini adalah mengenai penerapan pendidikan karakter religius dan mandiri di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan kebijakan sekaligus implementasi program dalam menerapkan pendidikan karakter religius dan mandiri sehingga dapat mengetahui dampaknya pada perilaku peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi. Penelitian dilakukan di MIN 1 Purwakarta dan SD Kristen Pasundan Purwakarta dengan subjek penelitiannya terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru kelas, guru agama, pembina ekstrakurikuler pramuka, dan peserta didik. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah model Miles dan Huberman. Penelitian ini memperoleh bahwa masing-masing sekolah memiliki kebijakan program pendidikan karakter yang berkaitan dengan karakter religius maupun mandiri sehingga dapat diimplementasikan menjadi pembiasaan rutinan bagi peserta didik di sekolahnya. Kebijakan program antar sekolah memiliki persamaan seperti pelaksanaan ibadah, peraturan sekolah dan aturan kelas, senam bersama, dan ekstrakurikuler pramuka. Dalam penerapannya, guru juga mengintegrasikan pendidikan karakter religius dan mandiri dalam proses kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas dengan membimbing peserta didik untuk membiasakan doa dan mengarahkan untuk mengerjakan tugasnya sendiri sehingga dapat menguatkan karakter religius dan mandiri peserta didik. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi pembiasaan pendidikan karakter yang dilakukan secara terus menerus melalui program rutinan akan memiliki dampak pada perilaku peserta didik di kelas dan di sekolahnya sehingga dapat secara sadar memahami kewajibannya. Implementing character education in schools is important to shape students with a good and moral personality. One of the implementations of character education that needs to be developed in schools is religious character and independent character. The main problem in this study is the implementation of religious and independent character education in primary schools. This study aims to find policies as well as program implementation in implementing religious and independent character education to find out the impact on the behaviour of students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. The research was conducted at MIN 1 Purwakarta and SD Kristen Pasundan Purwakarta with the research subjects consisting of principals, class teachers, religious teachers, scout extracurricular coaches, and students. The data analysis used was the Miles and Huberman model. This study found that each school has a character education programme policy related to a religious and independent character so that it can be implemented into routine habituation for students in their school. Programme policies between schools have similarities such as the implementation of worship, school rules and class rules, gymnastics together, and scout extracurricular activities. In its application, the teacher also integrates religious and independent character education in the process of teaching and learning activities in the classroom by guiding students to get used to prayer and directing them to do their own work to strengthen the religious and independent character of students. So, it can be concluded that the implementation of character education habituation carried out continuously through a routine program will have an impact on the behaviour of students in class and at school so that they can consciously understand their obligations.
